We're all put here on earth for a purpose, and are given talents and abilities to do specific jobs. My son, Bubba, would make a great attorney. He can argue his point, where you just can't argue with him anymore. I probably wouldn't recommend a more stressful end of law, but maybe real estate law, or one he feels passionate about. I also think he would be great working in rehab or with special needs folks, as he is very patient and kind with the less fortunate. My oldest daughter Alex is Type A, very organized and beautiful. I could really see her owning a bridal shop, since she's always cared a lot for fashion, and would be excellent in this field. She could work with friends that are wedding coordinators, and it's a business that will always survive. She also excelled in photography, and has a keen eye for that. My youngest, DD, is destined for the arts. She's already an excellent writer, dancer or possible artist. She too has an artist's eye for computer graphics and it comes easy for her. She doesn't want an 8-5 office job, so she needs to move into the arts. My friend P. also has a good eye for photography, and would make a great videographer (maybe for older daughter's wedding business) or photographer. He started out in college in film & television, and regrets getting out for sales. Maybe now's the time. My son-in-law is a great cook, with a fun personality and would be fabulous in the catering business - he too can be a part of the wedding coordination.
It's God that finds us the jobs, we don't have to worry about the economy. God is still on the throne and still has a purpose for our lives, in spite of the Great Recession.
Let's do what we were created to do...
