"Sticks and Stones my break my bones but words will never hurt me"

Wow. Much has happened since I posted two weeks ago about Cliven Bundy...
During that time, the New York Times was able to get a story that they edited so much that they were able to discredit him as a racist. Notice that NO mainstream media were on that BLM story until they sent out their goons, and then it was All racist All the time...
Yeah.
Now they've moved on to the Clippers owner, who evidently really IS a racist. And they are loving every minute of it. But I WILL add that MOST people are NOT racists, so most are agreeing that Donald Sterling is an ass.
And if you're wondering what I think? Yes, of course, I too think the guy is an ass.
But what I wanted to post about is this:  The NBA ruling sets a VERY dangerous precedent. What Sterling said is awful - we all get that. But they WERE just words and he didn't physically hurt anyone. The guy is in his eighties. He paid the players since they were his "employees." They work for the money, and he pays. No one is disputing that.
And I haven't read every single story out there about this but wasn't the guy telling his "girlfriend" (who some are saying was one of his prostitutes) not to be seen with 'those black players or putting it out there on The Instagram.' (Can you believe he even knows what that is?!) So, I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, he was a little jealous. Maybe he was thinking he's in his freaking eighties and the only women he can get are the ones he pays, and even then this one is out galavanting around and taking photos with Magic Johnson (who is ALSO rich but younger and better looking.) Maybe he actually liked this girl and was jealous that she's hanging with rich, buff, athletes (who are also black) so he tells her (in his own stupid way) that he isn't liking this. From what I read, he never threatened this girl. No, he talked to her in almost an employer kind of way, like look, I know I can't tell you not to do this, but I'd rather you not. At least that's how it seemed to me.
I am not siding with this jerk in any way.
I'm trying to show that he said WORDS, and they weren't threatening. And the guy is entitled to his opinion, even though the majority (including me) don't agree with his racist way of thinking. But don't we have a first amendment that says he has freedom of speech?? I guess that amendment is gone now?? I thought we all have the freedom to say whatever we want?? And everyone else had the freedom to not like the guy and the freedom to SAY we don't like the guy. And the players have the freedom to leave the team. And the fans have the freedom to not go to the games.
But to fine the guy $2.5 million dollars?? And ban him from all NBA games and practices? Why not just let the "freedoms" all work themselves out? Sterling would have stopped going to games because everyone would make it clear they didn't want him there. And, even now, he WILL end up selling the Clippers because he will never, ever be able to live this down, even if he apologized every day of his life. So, now he will be fined a ton of money and never go to a game AND have to sell the Clippers out of necessity.
So here's my point. The liberals have won again. They manipulated everyone to do what they want. And that is, if someone says something that goes against the Liberal Creed, then it is "hate" speech, and that person has to be banned from society. It's already happening with homosexuals, as evidenced by the Mozilla CEO "resigning" (under duress)  and in the schools, workplace, ad nauseum. And if you're a Jesus follower, and thus a Bible follower, then if we even QUOTE the Bible and what God says about homosexuals, then it's hate speech. It's already happening in Canada. A pastor was arrested IN CHURCH, for quoting what God says in the Bible about gays.
Yes, the First Amendment is dead. What are you going to do about it???

Cliven's Last Stand

Yes, the events over the weekend with Cliven Bundy have given me some HOPE that there will be some CHANGE. Hope that things might change back to what they were before. Hope that the last five years of serious change (damage) to this country will have been at least slowed down....
Let me say upfront that in NO WAY do I think that this is over with the feds and the Bundy Ranch. They will now do it as they have for years and years, through the back door. It will be a Friday afternoon news dump where the prez gets his phone and his pen and signs yet another executive order to run this his way. He won't let this "embarressment" keep him from winning. No, they were way too quick to back down and I'm sure have a backup plan to get the same results. So I'm not naive about it.
But it does give me hope that fellow patriots are at their tipping point. We've been pushed too far. And it takes issues like these to say we're mad as hell and we aren't going to take it any more. The liberals usually turn up the heat so slowly that most don't realize that it's finally to a boiling point. But in this instance, things were at a boiling point and Cliven Bundy was ready to make his stand, alone or not. He was ready to die, if that's what it took. Here is this crackly voiced 67 year old rancher/cowboy who had his Custard's Last Stand. The feds knew they couldn't shoot him. That would've been like shooting John Wayne. A little too Wild, Wild West. And then when patriots from all over starting supporting him, well the feds probably realized they would have to accomplish their goal in a different manner. Heck, on Friday, even I thought about getting in the car and driving west from Texas to just stand there in support. I am not alone. Americans have three more years of this regime and we all know how much more damage can be wrought on our beloved country. The prez has made no bones about wanting to fundamentally change this country (that's code for help himself and his cronies) with Valerie Jarrett (another America hater.) If we can stop them or at least mitigate the damage, then that's what has to be done. It's a war, albeit, an internal war and we can win it.

Here are all of the thoughts running around in my head... Ummmm, thank God it's Friday? The weeks are really long at my new job. I've been there two months now but am making much less than my last job (I am on straight commission again - so if I don't sell, I don't make money) The difference this time is my boss doesn't pay me until SHE gets paid.... It looks like it will break open at some point and things will get much better, but...
Yes, I still have a fascination with the missing 777. It just is everything that's wrong with the world these days. All of the governments lying. The mainstream media pushing what they want, and of course for ratings. No wreckage found. Some pings at the end of the clock for the black box recorder, allegedly at the bottom of a very deep part of the Indian Ocean, 15,000 feet. Alleged contact from the American with IBM. No one is allowed to go to Diego Garcia. So yes, conspiracy theories abound but the fact remains. There was a humongous jet with 238 souls on board and it was not a military jet. It's been over a month now and the world still doesn't really know what happened to it??? Yesterday I read that Britain is colluding with the United States about hiding the truth, but who really knows?? Evidently the Malaysian government knows more than they're saying so why are they hiding it?? What about the Chinese?? I mean we can all relate to flying and getting on a jumbo jet and trusting that we will probably get there. Most of us would think it's relatively safe to fly overseas, especially in that big of a jet. And most of us would trust that, at least with non-military people, that the truth would be told but alas... no such luck.
Finally, as I listen to all of the American politics for the week, it occurs to me that conservatives will only win elections if they do this: make conservatism cool. THIS is how the liberals have won elections. They get all of the "cool" people, like Hollywood and sports figures and rock stars, and they tell you if you are cool too, you will vote for Democrats. They insinuate that you're a fuddy duddy if you vote for the Republicans and extremely uncool. They even say you're racist if you vote for conservatives, so in the last two presidential elections,  easily influenced white people thought they were really cool and forward thinking to vote for the half-black, Harvard educated man who parties with Jay Z and Beyonce and goes on late night talk shows and picks basketball winners. All the while Democrats did all of their voting fraud and cheating behind the scenes and even spying on Americans and media, but the face they marketed was to be a part of the cool crowd, and be "popular" by voting for the man with the unusual name. Never mind that his birth certificate seemed fake and that no one remembered him at the prestigious colleges he went to. Never mind that he did drugs, and not just weed. Never mind that there were lots of weird things being said about the guy. He could give a good speech (albeit from the teleprompter) and Bush had embarressed them in his terrible delivery. No, the man with the funny name looks African-American, and this country likes savvy marketing. This country falls for it every time. Here was a black man who parties with the big shots and golfs with the big shots and is condescending. Here was a man who could eliminate 'white guilt for past slavery' (even though none of us have slaves or are for slavery or know someone that had a slave.) No, we got suckered into savvy marketing which Americans are famous for.
Well, guess what?? I'm in marketing and the next elections are win-able with the perfect marketing strategy. And they had better figure it out right now or we will go on down the drain that we are currently spinning around.
And, oh yeah, I'm available....

"Is that all there is??"

A few months ago, my ex-husband and a few older guys from his church were at their church's campgrounds outside of Austin to clean up after the strange flashflood. One of the men didn't even go to the church, but was a friend of one of the guys, and was helping. As they rode in golf cars, the pastor's son, an 8th grader, somehow got one of the wheels in a crack and, as they went over a bridge, it threw them all out.  My ex was behind them and saw the whole thing. All the men were fine, except the guy I mentioned, who was thrown into a rock ravine with head injuries. He was in ICU in Austin for a month, and, the last I heard, was having to relearn speech with his head injury. He will never be the same. He is not married (nor ever has been), is in his late fifties, and had no health insurance. I say this to say, that his bazillion dollar bill will never be able to be paid. Like cancer, this catastrophic health issue will break him -- if he can ever work again. These are the issues that the Republicans are going to have to figure out when they offer their own healthcare version for the nation....
Life continues to be hard... on my better days, I'm thankful to be alive and counting my blessings. On my harder days, I can hear the Peggy Lee song, "Is that all there is? Then let's keep dancing..." and I have a pity party. I can tell you, that for those of us struggling paycheck to paycheck, it's hard to have hope about the future. Yes, I know God promises to take care of my needs... and He has. I guess I'll be quiet.
Sigh.

It seems Jay Z wears jewelry and subscribes to the idealogy of "Five Percent" who wants to kill all white people (sort of like Muslims want to kill all non-Muslims.) Remember that Jay Z and wife are invited to the White House often and are big chums with the prez and wife. They've said that Beyonce is a great role model yet her videos are soft porn. Again, are you reading this in anything but alternative media???
