"It was only a matter of time..."

Yes, it was only a matter of time... when the Democrats started smearing Herman Cain (and yes, until Kim Kardashian filed for divorce after only 72 days.)

What the Dems don't realize is that the harder they smear, the more we like a candidate. We know that if they attack THAT hard, then they are truly afraid that the conservative candidate might win. At this time, it happens to be Herman Cain. It's anyone's guess if he can stay at #1, but whoever is the top contender, WILL get "the treatment." And if there's nothing there?? Well, they will lie, like they did with Clarence Thomas. Isn't it uncanny that they picked the SAME "M.O." (method of operandis??) I mean, wow, they can't even get ORIGINAL?
Of course they can't. It created enough doubt in the public with Clarence Thomas and they will attempt to do that now. And if it doesn't stick? They will up their ante and create bigger lies, and keep smearing until it does stick.
I woke up thinking about the media, and in particular, Big Media, the propaganda machine in our country. I've been in the newspaper business for 25 years, even though it's been in advertising. In the metro papers, I have ridden the elevator with these types, and walked through editorial. They are all carbon copies of each other. Cynical. Faithless. Education snobs. Think they're better than everyone else. Think they're above the law. And liberal. All of them. They don't get hired unless they are (and they wouldn't fit in if they weren't.) These are the people who are partners in crime - these are the people who are helping destroy this wonderful country. These people who have an axe to grind and want to seek revenge on society, are setting this country on a freight train to hell, and liking it. They worship nature (and themselves.) They have an entitlement mentality, and learned early on that the pen truly is mightier than the sword.
So Herman? Keep it up. Keep being you. Keep being confident in who you are. Keep being courageous against this block of people hell-bent on destroying you. Because we've got your back
and we ARE the majority...

"Trick or Treat!"

Cinderella
"Poison Ivy"
Shera
Jessica Rabbit
She Devil
Roger Rabbit
Black Swan
Snooki (scary enough)
Bride of Frankenstein?
Heidi Klum as cadaver waiting for autopsy...

"Honesty brings honor, secrets bring shame."

Here is Jessica Simpson today, who is OBVIOUSLY pregnant, but many say she is holding out for a big payoff to announce the big "secret." I find this so disgusting, I cannot tell you. What is WRONG with these people these days??!! Why do they all have to make a buck for every SINGLE thing they do??!! Why can't she just announce when most women do, and have her FREAKING baby??!! And it wasn't so long ago that these whore-mongers only wanted the big magazine spread AFTER the baby was born? Like Mariah Carey's twins are huge now, but she too waited for her big payoff so we could see her kid's faces. Big whoop. So now Jessica Simpson, probably at the direction of her pimp-type father/manager, is waiting for some media somewhere to pay them a load of cash, when she's doing just fine financially, thankyouverymuch. They did this for their second daughter's wedding too, so the entire thing could be paid for by the media, and of course, she's already divorced.

These people are an embarressment...

BOO!

We're here with the masses at THE haunted house in downtown San Antonio & the wait is an hour. Halloween has become big business over the last decade or so. Everyone loves to dress up & be scared, so the two together are a payday for many... I've heard it's 2nd only to Christmas for house decorations, but maybe more here in SA. This town REALLY gets into it. I'm not going in.
I'm scared to spend the extra money...

"I swear on my mother's rechargeable batteries." - Rosie the Jetson's robot maid

I can't WAIT to get the new iPhone 4S. Seriously! For Christmas, I'm asking my family for money so I can go buy the new phone. The camera is supposed to be lots better than the previous one, and since I still have the 3G, then it's going to be tons better. I just always have it on me. Remember the tourists from Japan when we were young? They always had a camera around their neck. But no more! Now, we have our phones - and in particularly, the iPhone - the coolest adult toy - ever.

And now with "Siri" - I mean it's like the first robot in our homes. The Jetson's had Rosie, the robot maid, and we have Siri. When they talk back to you, with intelligence (albeit artificial) they become like a friend - in a robot sort of way. I'm dying to ask all the fun questions. I'm ready for it to tell me cool facts. I'm ready for her to help me out.
I'm just READY!!

"Political correctness is tyranny with a happy face." - Charlton Heston

Just read a story that the Girl Scouts will now accept a boy... Say what?! Yes, it says they originally rejected Bobby Montoya's application to join his sister in the group but now have reconsidered. His mother says he behaves like a girl. The 7 year old told the TV station, "It was like somebody told me I can't like girl stuff, and I have to change my name to something else." The article says the Girl Scouts of Colorado are "working to support transgender kids and their families."

As I recall, some kids go through a stage where they want to be the opposite sex and then that passes. I'm just of the belief that boys needs some all boys clubs and girls need some all girl clubs. I think football should be for boys only and cheerleading should be for girls only. I think with the name, GIRL Scouts, then it should be all GIRLS. The pendulum has swung too far. Girls and boys are different, there are lots of studies to prove it. For example, most girls are not emotionally equipped for fighting in an army's front lines. (Sigh) But then I am in the baby boomer generation and was raised in Texas.
Guess that disqualifies me in today's world of PC...

"Barbie is my fashion icon..." - Paris Hilton

Well, it looks like Barbie has made it to China and all that she entails... As China continues to experience a retail boom, Beijing Fashion Week kicked off with a bang. The label NE-TIGER, one of the leading fashion brands in China, put on a show to rival no other. The runway saw 38 models spread out over 3 levels, standing in individual boxed-sized spaces, looking like human Barbie dolls, complete with their very own designer outfit.

China is the world's fastest-growing market for luxury products and ongoing economic growth is creating new billionaires every year in a huge rise of wealth.
Is anyone here in the states paying attention??

"Someday is not a day of the week..."

Here it comes, 20 million tons of debris from the Japanese earthquake/tsunami.... It's expected to hit Hawaii within 2 years and the West coast in 3 years... You would think that this stuff would just sink, but no... it just keeps blowing east. And guess what?? WE will be required to spend the money to somehow figure out somewhere for all this trash to go.

We had better figure it out now, rather than wait for it to hit...

"I'll be home for Christmas..."

So yesterday President O says he's bringing all 40,000 troops home from Iraq by Christmas. So where's his base celebrating in the streets?? Where's Cindy Sheehan?? Why aren't the liberals saying anything?? I really have no clue.

Why did he make this decision? Personally I think he heard Ron Paul, a Republican, say this in the debates last week, and when that happened, when even the Republicans want out, he quickly decided to do this. The timing is very suspect... and sudden, after his 2 1/2 years of being president. (I DID see a photo this week of a Hollywood star at the Occupy Wall Street protest with another protester with a Ron Paul shirt on, so I'm SURE they are paying attention.)
And I do agree with Ron Paul on Iraq. I think if you can't get it done in 9 years, then it's time to come home. We've lost all these wonderful men (and women) over the years and have spent a bazillion dollars, and for what?? I was never really on board with going in at the beginning. I have a lot of respect for George W but think he had some really bad intelligence that lead us into this. I remember when he kept threatening Saddam that he was going to attack, and ALL of the current Christian prophets said no, they felt strongly that we should not. We opened a terrible Pandora's box. Those countries that are not Judeo-Christian cannot handle democracy because they are uneducated and their laws are not based on the ten commandments like ours are. They believe murder, stealing and lying are fine in the name of their god. These Arab countries that are killing their leaders and hoping for freedom, seem to be ending up worse than before i.e. Egypt and Libya. The even more radicals are coming in, and setting up fewer freedoms. And there are no simple answers.
One thing I DO know, is that our troops are in the most danger ever, until they leave that terrible land...

What the Heck Fridays

This is "Zombie Boy" who has tattoos all over his upper body. He was discovered by Lady Gaga and has appeared in some of her videos. This is actually a recent ad done by a covering makeup called Derma Blend, so you can see what he looks like without all of his permanent tattoos.

I'm speechless...

What the Heck Fridays

This photo was taken by British tourists of children in the Mamaus region of the Amazon.

"If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything..."

A couple of nights ago I had some repairmen at my house to fix yet another thing on the foreclosure home I just bought. They were brothers in their late 30's, Hispanic, very knowledgeable and very nice. Since DD was home, and they had some relatives at her school, the talk turned to children and then marriage. Both brothers were explaining that they did not feel the need to ever marry. They said it's just a piece of paper and didn't see the reason. One of them was going through a divorce, and mentioned the only reason he had married his girlfriend was so she could get on his insurance when she got pregnant. Most people under 40 around here (and again, it's a conservative area) feel the same way. And I mentioned that they were Hispanic for a reason, because when I was growing up (central Texas) the Hispanics my age are usually Catholic and very pro-marriage.

Sigh.
It's another failure of my generation in not instilling enough values in our children. And I guess if someone is not religious in a faith such as Christianity or Judaism, then I can understand. Because they would not have that belief if they didn't follow God's commands in the Bible.
Marriage was designed to be a covenant (agreement) between a man and a woman to be faithful to one another. Physically faithful, as in sex. It is why the vows have always mentioned faithfulness. The first marriage was Adam and Eve. Genesis 2 says, "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and they become one flesh," (and they didn't even HAVE parents.) In Matthew, Jesus quotes this verse and says, "Haven't you read, that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh? Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." In Hebrews it says, "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral." Even the first miracle Jesus performed was turning the water into wine at a wedding.
The entire world is set up on procreating and genealogy through the marriage of a man and a woman. Marriage has become passe, uncool, and meaningless in our current day. Young people just don't see the point, especially if they look up to Hollywood types or pop musicians, who only seem to marry to have a spectacle wedding like Kim Kardashian. They are couples like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who admit that they don't believe in God or marriage. Consequently half the babies born in America these days are to unwed parents, and often those don't even have a committment to one another. This has caused a breakdown in the family, when there is no stability of a mother and father. This country has been erasing the Judeo-Christian ethic, and left us with what we are dealing with now. Lots of young people with no anchors, tossing and turning with each wave in the sea.
A sea that's getting rougher and rougher...

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Today I heard that China is going to buy the Euro debt... and since they already own a BAZILLION dollars of U.S. debt, it looks like someday, probably very soon, they will own the power nations. As you may or may not know, when Armageddon happens, according to the Bible, a million man army will march on Israel, of which most guess will be for oil. China already has a million man army as we speak.

I've been thinking about China a lot since I saw the toddler video I posted on Monday, and what a terrible place it must be to live. I always feel sympathy for those in oppressed societies and know they desire freedom as all do. We hear the stories of many suicides from those being overworked in the computer factories in China and this is even with their very controlled media.
Children in America today are not taught about communism. Even in my town, one of the most conservative towns in Texas, they are not teaching it in the public schools. As a matter of fact, in DD's 9th grade English class, they had to write a paper last week from the point of view of the communists during the Russian revolution. Some parents complained, and the teacher said it was "just an exercise."
As a Baby Boomer, we grew up hearing about the Soviet Union and communism, and how terrible it was to live without freedom. How they could not leave the country if they wanted to, they could not worship as they wanted, and couldn't even do the job they wanted. It sounded so oppressive and certainly was. I remember President Reagan saying, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall," (the Berlin wall) and thinking that would never happen, but shortly thereafter, it did. It truly was miraculous. When we have had visiting Russian ministers at church, they say the window opened to get the gospel out, but they foresee it closing again in the near future.
Soon China is supposed to surpass the United States as being the biggest superpower. And with the current president, decisions are being made that jeopardize the U.S in a big way. This next American presidential election is the most important one in our entire history.
Choose wisely...

Beware the Dragon

I'd like to comment about the video I posted yesterday. Some family members were furious that I would post it, but it is truth albeit very disturbing. My point was to show the lack of morality and humanity in China. May I add that Glenn Beck also posted the video on his website, saying that it's what communism looks like. I agree, when you remove God from society, then it begins to deteriorate. And with China's one child rule and forced abortions, there is no respect for life.
Clearly.
I cannot fathom living in a place where so many people reacted like this to their fellow man, and especially when it is a small child. I would not even want to visit this country, and think our government needs to think twice about borrowing so much money from these ruthless, Godless people. The video is so disturbing that it's hard to believe that it actually happened, but it did, 5 days ago. My thoughts and prayers go out to the toddler, YeuYeu, and her family. I'm praying that God will miraculously touch and heal her, to His glory. And I pray that it will bring tons of Chinese people to give their lives to the Lord so that China will come out of the darkness.
One person at a time.

How we know it's the End Times...

"It's a Boy!!!!"

Yes, Alex and AJ found out yesterday that their first baby (due St. Patrick's Day) is a boy!! She had done all of the Chinese tests you can find on-line prior to this sonogram, and all had predicted boy. As a matter of fact, she and her co-workers did the swinging ring test, and Alex's said boy, then they did it on a friend due a month before her and it said girl (she already had found out it was a girl) and then on another co-worker that was not pregnant, and the ring didn't move at all! These Chinese must know what they're doing!

I have always thought Alex would be the PERFECT mother of boys, not that she wouldn't for girls either. No, it's just that really girly-girls like Alex always seems to be mothers of all boys. It's like God knows, and of course He does. AJ is from a family of sons only, and is deeeeeelighted. He posted on Facebook that he's ready to buy the four-wheelers and be the overly dominant sports dad. Oh, they will have so much fun! Alex's bump is very cute and all in front, which is also another old wives tale that you're having a boy. After they found out yesterday, they drove straight to the store and bought boy clothes with puppies and helicopters. Yes! Let the buying begin!
I'm so excited for another family member! And Christmas is way more fun with a child to see all the magic through their eyes. I hope I can be the most fabulous grandmother. Getting older doesn't have many perks except the love of grandchildren. I've already been praying for this little Funyon and asking God to bless him even before he is born. Alex said the person doing the sonogram said she didn't think she'd ever seen a baby move so much, so I guess they will have their hands full! I found from my 3 children, for this to hold over. Bubba was a mover, Alex was not, and DD all the time. Guess Alex will have a live wire!
The countdown is on!

"I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your

words you will be condemned." - Matthew 12:36-37

Seems Harold Camping has released a statement that he thinks the Christian rapture is this Friday, October 21st where Christian believers will be whisked to heaven and hell will be unleashed on earth. The Apocalypse. I don't think it will happen Friday because God says in His word that we won't know the date or time but it does give me pause every time someone is willing to go out on a limb and make a prediction. And I have to ask myself, am I ready for that? Whenever it comes? Last Sunday at church, there were several older folks who had had dreams the previous week where they were impressed that God is coming back VERY soon - it's imminent. So, am I ready? Are my children ready? My family? My friends? My co-workers? Each time I hear this sort of thing, I pray for God to please wait. Wait until my loved ones are ready. These deadlines come and go, but one of these days, the time will come.
Are YOU ready...?

"Time will tell..."

As much as I would love for Rick Perry to be the Republican nominee for president, I have a feeling that it will be Herman Cain. Don't get me wrong, I like Herman Cain, and think he would make a wonderful president, it's just that Rick Perry would be a fabulous captain for our ship, and would turn this economy around quicker than anyone can.

No, I think it will be Cain because this country still has a race problem, and how better to deal with it than to have 2 black men running against each other, both polar opposites. Because, you see, if anyone other than Cain is the nominee, we will be inundated with cries of racism non-stop at a non-black. Cain worked himself up through the ranks instead of Obama, the invisible man until he broke on the scene a few years ago. Cain is a simple man and America seems to want simple talk right now. No more tricks. No more bait and switch. No more "pass the bill so we can read it." No more Tarp. Or Stimulus 1. Or Stimulus 2. He has a 9-9-9 program that is easy to understand, and with our dumbed down citizens, it's what makes sense. Romney seems too slick. Perry cannot speak well. Bachmann seems too emotional. Paul seems eccentric. Santorum cannot connect. Newt is sharp, but over most people's heads and unrelatable. Conservatives want someone who can debate Obama and beat the pants off of him. We secretly want him/her to be able to 'bring it' to the current president, and be as sharp as Rush Limbaugh, remembering every detail to date. Because most of us are too busy in our lives and our jobs and our families and our stresses to have time to pay close attention to detail. Our candidate will have to be passionate, and have a burning desire to 'save' this country, because that's where we're at. We have people like Glenn Beck telling us to have cash ready and food set aside for a huge crisis, and most of us switch the channel because it's too hard to hear. We know it could happen, but when you're middle class, there's nothing you can really do. It's like Y2k, how could you really prepare for a total meltdown??
Anyway. Cain is passionate. And simple. Yet smart enough to have run a large corporation. He's not a politician and that's completely refreshing. So, can he 'bring it' to Obama??
Time will tell...

"Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." - John 14:13

<
For my blog tonight, I'd like to do something different, just this once. You see, one of DD's friends, a 17 year old at her same high school and fellow cheerleader was diagnosed with 2 malignant, fast growing brain tumors. She was operated on last week, but the doctors could only remove part of one of them. She and her mother are going to the doctor tomorrow in San Antonio to discuss chemotherapy.

God still heals - He healed me of breast cancer - so I'm asking all of my readers if you are a Christian to stop and say a prayer for her, and ask that she be healed in Jesus' name.
Please.

"Be careful what you wish for..."

Well we're hearing now that they are looking for "protesters" on Craigslist and willing to pay them around $350 per week. There is free food, free drugs and free love. And stupid, stupid Mayor Bloomberg is saying they can stay indefinitely. Wow. You would think he would want to clean all of that up for the tourists, but no, that was Mayor Guiliani that cleaned up NYC.

No, as I recall, before any of this started, Bloomberg was saying that there would be rioting in the streets. Now they have all these punks doing drugs and having sex out in the open, while there is a photo of a guy pooping on a police car, and garbage everywhere, literally and figuratively.
How do you like it now, Mayor??

The best piece of advice for a pregnant woman? Pamper yourself."

Here is 27 year old Amber Miller running the Chicago Marathon on Sunday at NINE months pregnant. She started feeling contractions on the 26.2 mile race, and gave birth just a few hours after crossing the finish line. Why would she do this? Why would she even take a chance at harming her baby? Why couldn't she just take nine months off to put her baby before herself? The story said she ran another marathon at four months pregnant... I realize that women can walk and do pregnancy exercises but to run 26 miles? Wow.

That's completely selfish...

"Choose life..."

Thank you, Joanne Scheible, for choosing life for your unplanned baby. And thank you Mr. and Mrs. Jobs for adopting this baby boy that you named Steven and seeing his strengths and encouraging him. The world is a much better place because years ago this mom chose life for her baby.

It makes me wonder about the millions of babies who could have life but didn't....

Just saw a pointless, stupid movie... I don't know why we chose to see "The Ides of March," but it was much worse than my low expectations and left me angry that I paid money to see it...

"For God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind."

Today was my annual mammagram... I put it off because just the thought of it was disconcerting. The last one I had was in July of 2010, and I am supposed to have one each year since I was diagnosed (and later healed) of breast cancer in 2006. But in July DD had camp, and then cheerleading and then school started and then work got busy and then and then and then... So I just finished my move and my house repairs are almost done, and I figured I was irresponsible if I didn't go in. Especially when I call yesterday and the radiology place that only screens for breast cancer, asks if I'm "symptomatic." Well, when they ask, I always am. Maybe it's psychological because I've already lost 3 close friends to breast cancer. And my sister has had a breast removed. And my boss is in remission, and my coworker was just diagnosed. It's all around me, and it's the "C" word. So the radiology group said yesterday to come in today - so I did...

I downloaded the Bible app to my iPhone, which I've been meaning to do anyway. But then I grabbed my physical Bible, so I could flip around while there. Plus, it's comforting to me to see all the verses underlined through the years. I kept telling myself that fear is the opposite of faith and that faith pleases God. And that God's words in His word are His promises to His children, those that walk with Him. And His word says, "By the stripes of Jesus, we WERE healed." And I love the one that says, "For the law of life in Christ Jesus, has set me FREE from the law of sin and death" (which includes sickness.) I also like the one, "I will REMOVE sickness from your midst." and "they shall lay hands on the sick and they SHALL recover." As I read Psalms, this one popped out at me, "No evil shall befall you, and no plague will come near your dwelling," (and cancer is certainly a plague to me.) These are the verses I kept claiming as I sat there waiting for an hour since they were super busy at this clinic in San Antonio.
They came for me while all of us sit in this room wearing the same blue tops like we're in prison. (See photo of my view from where I sat.) They take only 4 shots which is less than usual, and say they will come back for me for more if necessary, after a radiologist looks at them. Then they come back... They say they want to do a sonogram, which they've never done before. I say, "Why? Did you see something?" She acts weird and says it's because I said my breasts felt heavy. (I DID move last weekend though.) So, she does a sonogram on my breasts and seems very serious, taking a long time and then tells me to go into the waiting room again. All of the women are nervous and trying to distract themselves on their phones while "The View" plays on the television. I keep reading my Bible, claiming my verses. I make lots of promises to God, this blog post being one of them. And the girl comes back, and timidly says my name, and I wince. She says I'm good to go, and they will see me next year. (Big sigh) Set free from the prison. I say "Praise the Lord!" and tell the others in there, I've been praying for them too.
The world looked brighter all day...

"I want to put a ding in the universe." - Steve Jobs

I can't believe it. Steve Jobs is dead. He co-founded Apple Computer in 1976, and with his childhood friend, marketed the world's first personal computer. He was the mastermind behind Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes. He was the biggest inventor of my lifetime, and is considered up there with Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, changing the worlds of computing, recorded music and communications. He created my favorite adult toy, my iPhone, which is such a blast. I mean, WHERE are the other inventors? Gosh, I'm going to miss his creativity. Will all forward-thinking come to a standstill now?? I hope not. I will miss you Steve Jobs.

Rest in peace...

"In any other sport, if you miss the catch all you lose is the ball..."

After a long weekend of moving and cleaning, when I picked DD up from cheer practice tonight, on the last stunt of the evening, they were trying to do a very hard one that involved 3 flyers (the ones that are up in the air) which included DD. The middle girl fell and her foot slapped DD's base, and she completely dropped her. DD fell about 9 feet on her upper back and neck, which really scared her, knocked the wind out of her, and made her numb in the beginning. And she was in a lot of pain. So, we went to the ER to get x-rays just to make sure nothing was cracked.

Thank God all looked okay - whew...

"Justice denied anywhere diminishes justice everywhere." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Troy Davis, 42, was executed last month in Georgia for the slaying of a police officer, insisting his innocence and asking forgiveness for his accusers and executioners. At the funeral his friend said, "Troy's last words that night were, he told us to keep fighting until his name is cleared in Georgia. But most important, keep fighting until the death penalty is abolished and this can never be done to anyone else.' Another friend said when he would visit Davis he would say, "Don't let me die in vain, don't let my name die in vain."

So you have to ask yourself, did an innocent man just get put to death for a crime he did not do? He was convicted without evidence, from all the reports I read. And everyone that knew him said he was a kind, gentle man.
I used to believe in the death penalty, but no more. My pastor agrees and said that it's always the poor who get put to death since they cannot afford to hire a good attorney. Troy Davis' death makes me very sad. My gut feeling is that an innocent man was put to death.
And my gut feelings are always right....
