Okay, let's get this straight... In 2000, California passed Proposition 22 which was to honor marriages only between opposite-sex couples. In May 2008, it was struck down by the California Supreme Court as contrary to the state constitution. In November 2008, Proposition 8 passed in California which provided that "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." Same sex couples and government entities filed numerous lawsuits with the California Supreme Court challenging the proposition's validity.
Yesterday, a United States district court Judge Vaughn Walker overturned Proposition 8, and issued an injunction against enforcing Proposition 8.
So.... one man, Judge Walker, who is gay (but we're told that is irrelevant) just threw out the 7 million votes by Californians. California voted. Twice. And both times the majority voted that "marriage" is between a man and a woman only. Marriage has had this definition since the beginning of time. God created marriage between a man and a woman. Their bodies blend in such a way that procreation is possible. It creates lineage in families. We have mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers and up the family line. Gays and lesbians have been able to have civil unions with their civil rights. But they want to redefine the definition of marriage from the way that it has always been.
This will always go back to your faith in how you view this situation. If you believe the Bible, you will know what God created. What the Bible says about homosexuality. And if you don't give any credence to the Bible, then you will probably follow what Hollywood tells you is cool.
So on Judgment Day and you meet your Maker, are you going to say, "Lord, I followed what You said," or will you shake your finger in His face and say, "I don't believe in You."
One day, EVERY knee shall bow, like it or not...
