All Good Things Must End?

The deadline cometh.... and I'm not talking about April 15th. No, tonight is the Obamacare deadline so on Friday I went by a local insurance company and as I drove up, I noticed it was crowded which it never is. I asked for an appointment, and the older woman with specs on looked at me in a sarcastic, angry manner and said they were booked all day Friday and only had one appointment left on Monday. As I looked around, I saw all the late-comers like myself who were waiting to get in to see someone.  Lucky for me, at that exact moment someone had stood up one of their representatives, so I got in.
My older daughter, Alex, had said that her in-laws had tried to go on the government website several times, and finally her father-in-law (who is very intelligent and has a great professional job in Houston) had to come home from work recently and it took him a half day to get their grown son into Obamacare (that son is in rehab.)
My point is that most of America is busy with their lives and are not understanding that they don't HAVE to go to the government website. There are no longer pre-existing conditions, and anyone can sign up anywhere. As a matter of fact, I RECOMMEND that people do this today because the gov't site is crashing. My sales rep said she did not want to put me down for automatic bank draft, and said Blue Cross Blue Shield is having a nightmare for billing, and that it could get screwed up or cancelled if I did the draft, as they were not prepared for this kind of volume. I knew that BCBS is one of the Obamacare providers, and I got to choose from the same plans as someone would on the gov't site.
This has NOT been made clear to the general public.
It is so disturbing to me that the government is now in charge of healthcare in our country, which has been a shining beacon of light and hope on this planet for a few hundred years.
Now taking care of our health will be like going to the DMV.
Great....

"Give me liberty, or give me death..." - Patrick Henry

Okay, the Malaysian airliner.... my distrust of our government and other third world country governments makes me suspicious of whatever they say. No wreckage has been found. There are pilots who say that the new information could be incorrect. I'm not willing to say this is over but I'm also guessing we will probably not know the truth for many years, if ever, on what really happened. There are just too many strange facts to act like this is a slam-dunk anything. It's not clean. There is no clear-cut answer. I may go back to my original thought that the big guys know what happened and aren't saying. And of course Israel is on high-alert and has closed all of their world-wide embassies for the first time in history...

Here are some recent tweets and commentary:

-- Kenyan Muslim terrorists open fire during Christian church service - well, you won't hear it in mainstream media but will on Christian news sites. Wait, where is our current president from??
-- For the first time in history, Israel suspiciously closes all embassies and consultates world-wide - see above commentary - possibly connected to Malaysian airliner story or Ukraine story
-- Expert witness: Obamacare good for 'Big Pharma, Big Abortion' - well, no surprise there. Big Pharma runs the campaigns and the country, and Big Abortion is the most important issue to libs; babies must be sacrificed
-- Islamic terrorist group sends Christian reporters threatening texts - again, you won't hear this on mainstream media either but Islamists mean it when they say "kill all infidels"
-- Obama seeks to weaken Navy, kill Tomahawk, Hellfire missiles - when is anyone going to care??
-- Obama 'religious freedom' appointee: Shariah Law is superior to American Law - again, are we going to look the other way until we accept Sharia like the UK just did, and have "honor killings" and beheadings and prayers to Allah in school???
-- Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 now clearly a government cover-up: All evidence contradicts official story - see above
-- Planned Parenthood lobbyist argues for right to post-birth abortion - okay, post-birth abortion means the baby has just been born so even in current terminology, that's still murder. Why not just hand the baby to CPS at that point and find some willing parents to raise it? If the female has now carried that baby for nine months, why are they killing the baby?? They can see this beautiful child, and they will now kill it?? Well, newsflash, God will not let this go unpunished - He will not....
-- Aborted babies incinerated to heat UK hospitals - yes, once you cheapen life, here is the future...

Time Will Tell...

Just a quick note on the (still) missing Malaysian airliner... today Rush was mocking CNN for having a psychic on to say what she thought. Well I hope he doesn't mock this, but I did read what a prophet (Christian, of course, the only real ones) said. It was Kim Clement, and he asked the Lord to speak to him about this, and felt directed towards the India/Pakistan border. (see www.kimclement.com)
Personally, I am not a prophet but the real ones speak the truth (and granted I know there are tons of false prophets out there.) I guess time will tell what the truth is - that is if the plane is ever located. It's been just about two weeks now. Wouldn't the heavy steel sink in the ocean anyway? And if it crashed  where they are currently searching in the Indian Ocean of consistent storms and rough seas, then the search seems daunting, to say the least. Now we hear (much later than she reported) that a woman on a different flight the day of the crash, says she saw parts of a silver airliner in the water around the Andaman Islands.
Well, one thing is for sure.
This planet doesn't have the satellite eyeballs that we thought it did...

Where's Waldo??

Well, five days have passed since my last post and still no sign of the humongous missing Malaysian airliner of Flight 370....
The only real advancement in the case in five days is that it has now been established that it definitely was a hijacking. (I had suspected this upon hearing of it, but it's now confirmed.) There have been erroneous statements all week, and clearly we are dealing with a third world country trying to appear like they know what they are doing, which CLEARLY they do not. One of the obvious facts is that the Malaysian Airlines chose not to subscribe to a critical service of establishing where their planes are at all times, and the engine information of those planes. And why would an airline do this?? Why, to save money, of course. I don't think I want to EVER fly on an airline that would make that decision, and risk the safety of their passengers to save money. Nor would I want to fly on a plane with a pilot or co-pilot that has brought young blondes to entertain in the cockpit while they fly that big mamma-jamma at 35,000 feet. I don't even want to fly in countries where pilots have been known to be suicidal and decide to commit suicide while flying with over 200 people to take with them to the 'other side.'
Most of the time my gut is correct on these things. My gut has told me from the start that it was a hijacking, and it was with the intention of gleaning information from the Freescale employees. And my gut tells me that all other passengers are probably dead by this time, although I hope I'm wrong. I just can't see them releasing them unless they were to be bargained for, but no one has even claimed a hijacking nor have they asked for money or a trade or whatever a hijacker usually asks for. It's most probable that the plane landed somewhere, because a crash landing on both land and sea, would have activated the black box recorders, and those have not been heard from. Too, the cell phones seemed to ring, which indicated that they were operational.
The longer all of this goes, the more we all know that there are probably no survivors at this point, except maybe the hijackers. It's now been a week from today, so chances are slim to none that passengers have survived.
Who knew that in the year 2014 that a gigantic airliner could be commandeered and flown to a secret location without being tracked??

"Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego??"

Well it's Spring Break week here in Texas... and I do mean ALL of Texas is off this week. All high schools. All colleges. And the rest of us working folks mentally take off as well. In my tourist town, this is the busiest week of the ENTIRE year. It's a great day trip, or weekend jaunt for the cities in close proximity, so there's that. Never mind that it was 36 degrees yesterday and we are wearing our coats. That may be normal up north, but I can NEVER remember in all of my Baby Boomer years when it was in the mid-thirties in mid-March in Central Texas. Ever. Fortunately for my high schooler, she went with her youth group to Colorado where it's supposed to snow tomorrow. They are going to be doing volunteer work for her summer camp with painting and cleaning, but she still got to get away.
Too, Austin has South by Southwest this week, which has gotten crazy popular and there are people there from all over the country - heck, all over the world!! It's super trendy to go hear all the up and coming bands and see all the up and coming tech inventions and show all the up and coming films from up and coming directors. Even Jimmy Kimmel came to do his show there all week, which is also kind of cool.
I don't know... It reminds me of when I visited California in the late 70's and early 80's -- there was a bumper sticker that said, "Welcome to California - Now go home." And it's kind of how Texans are viewing all these non-Texans showing up here taking our jobs. I just don't want that to ruin it here, which it almost certainly will. Most Texans are independent, freedom-loving, salt of the earth folks (and I am excluding Austin when I make that generalization. Austin has more foreigners than locals at this point.) Last weekend I took DD to "Explore UT" (University of Texas) which is my alma mater, to an entire campus open house, where we took tours of the school, the dorms, the gym, the classrooms - pretty much everything. As always, there were groups on campus protesting things, which is normal for UT. The sad thing to me was how much it has changed, even in the last 15 years. All dorms are required to leave your bedroom doors shut and have pass cards to each area, so if a gunman starts shooting, there is less chance to do maximum damage. Everything is around that thinking. Also, there are SO many students from other countries now, that the entire feel of the campus is different. It was always liberal, but now it almost feels foreign. DD asked our student tour guide about a church we saw, and he bristled and dismissed her like she had said an obscenity. I had wanted to show DD the student newspaper, The Daily Texan, where I had worked and it was probably the only building locked with no activity. Go figure...
There is only ONE dorm that is all female and ONE dorm that is all male. My older sister had lived in that dorm so we took a tour. I had remembered it as girls like me, and all the girls kept their doors open and were laughing and in curlers and trading clothes, almost like the movie "Grease." But no, instead it was a bunch of females who were snarling at us, and almost half OR MORE were foreigners from overseas, whose parents don't want their daughters living in coed dorms with MALES - gasp. So it's totally different, and DD and I looked at each other as we left and agreed we got a bad vibe. Why can't change EVER be a good thing?? DD really wants to go to UT because I did, and my siblings, and my parents, and my aunt & uncle and cousins and grandparents. It's our tradition, but it's so much worse than it ever was.
Anyway.
While Texas is on Spring Break and Austin is jamming with South by Southwest, and tonight all women under 40 are watching to see who Juan Pablo picks on "The Bachelor," there is a gynormous jet near Vietnam, and allegedly it vanished without a trace. Say what?!? In this day and age?? Where the NSA knows when we go to the bathroom??? Where everything is traced whether we like it or not?? And now we hear that 20 employees from an Austin company called Freescale were on the plane, and had advanced technology on microchips and RFID chips and more. Evidently there is a way to jam all the systems and make it disappear, so did it land somewhere remote?? Did China steal those employees? Evidently the families and friends of the passengers are able to call the phones and get them to ring. If it had nosedived into the ocean, pieces would have risen to the top. If it had crashed on land, we would know. So where THE HELL is it???!!!??? Don't you find it ridiculous, that in 2014, we can lose a humongous jet???And it's been a couple of days now. I mean I'm sure the government knows the reality, but WHY THE HELL ISN'T THE MEDIA MAKING A BIG DEAL ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT IS A BIG DEAL???
I guess I should laugh now, since I already know the answer...

"I can do whatever I want..." - President Obama

Something occurred to me yesterday...
I was listening to the concocted media story of the day -  Elijah Cummings with his out-of-line rant, and then all of the accusations of racism because Issa cut him off?? BEYOND FRUSTRATING.
The freaking meeting had been adjourned!! It was Cummings who was out of line by having his temper tantrum in seeking to add something to an already adjourned meeting.  Many think it was to create a ruse so as NOT to talk about the REAL STORY -  which was IRS heroine Lois Lerner taking the fifth - AGAIN!!!!
And of course the state-run, propaganda, in-the-tank-for-liberals mainstream media did exactly what they were supposed to do, and keep the attention on calling everything racist that doesn't go their way. And then it occurred to me - whenever the prez said "I can do whatever I want" a few weeks ago, it's because he knows in our country that he can get whatever he wants because he's the first black president. And anything, ANYTHING or anyone that gets in his way?? Well, it's GOT to be racist.
They are not stupid. They see what works. They see white guilt. They view this as pay back time. It's redistribution time.
And then I started thinking about all the nasty rappers out there. You know, the ones that our current prez says are great role models for his daughters? They, too, have the mentality of "I can do anything I want" because Lord KNOWS we are going to be called a racist if we disagree or condemn them in any way. They think they have carte blanche to railroad this country however they please, and those of us who disagree? Well, we're racist and have to be stopped.
Secondly, the gays are right in line after the blacks. And if we say anything? Well, we are called homophobic, of course. Never mind that some of us are Jesus followers and Bible followers, and see that God calls homosexuality an abomination. I didn't write the rules, GOD DID. Christians are ordered to make a wedding cake for a gay/lesbian wedding or will be punished severely, but Muslims don't have to go against THEIR beliefs i.e. cutting the hair of a lesbian. They won't be ordered to do any of that. Christians will be called intolerant but never the Muslims.
We had better start getting thicker skin friends. We had better get used to be called racists and homophobes and intolerant Christians. We know the truth. We know what our beliefs are. We aren't going to hurt anyone. But we aren't going to be made to go against our beliefs either. There is terrible persecution of Christians all over the planet. You won't hear about it in the mainstream media because they could care less, but it's starting, and it will cross the pond to America. The stage is being set now - it's creeping in. It's creeping in because we are allowing it to. It started with being "politically correct" and NOW look where it's gotten us.
The spirit of the antiChrist is here - but then it always has been. There has always been a war in the spirit world of good against evil, and it is in this physical world as well. There has always been a line drawn in the sand.

"You Don't Start it. You Unleash It." - Cadillac ad

While the world is struggling with strife, life has been going on...
Last night DD had cheerleader tryouts for next year, her senior year, and she DID make it. Thank God. She loves to cheer and be a leader and tries to be a light in this very dark world. The cheer sponsor that was new this year doesn't seem to like cheerleaders, so she changed everything, and incorporated lots of new rules to try to knock some of them out. So there were some surprises on who was chosen for the squad and who wasn't, but DD and all of the ones she has cheered with all of high school (and junior high) are good and also made it. Whew... Glad THAT's over...
I am FINALLY over my sickness, which is probably the longest I've ever been sick in my life, and I was starting to fear it was something worse - like I read I had the same symptoms as Legionnaires Disease, so was getting worried.
Today Rush Limbaugh mentioned the new Cadillac ad so I wanted to weigh in. I had actually seen the commercial he was talking about several times, and it always caught my eye, and kept my interest (as opposed to other commercials that bore me, and I go do other things during that time.) Honestly, it never hit me that anything in it was controversial AT ALL.  I had enjoyed watching the commercial, and agreed with everything the actor/spokesman had said in it. Americans ARE different. We DO work hard. We love the American Dream and the fact that we have the opportunity to get ahead and become successful. We enjoy our freedom and along with it, capitalism, and do not prefer socialism or communism where freedom is gone, and we are told what job we will do, and all wealth will be distributed, and there will be no incentive to work hard.
It must have hit a nerve, however, with liberals who are lazy and have entitlement issues. They want someone else to make the money while they get to enjoy it. It reminds me when I used to work at the San Antonio Light newspaper and one of my co-workers (who happened to be African-American) was lamenting that she worked all day, while her sister, on the other hand, scammed all of the freebie systems out there, and got to live on the same amount of money AND stay home with her kids. It was Christmas time and she was angry her sister had signed up to be one of the needy families that we would all buy presents and Christmas dinner for and take it to them. She said her sister did that every year, and would hide the good stuff when gifts arrived. It sure took the Christmas spirit from us that year, but I digress.
I guess my bottom line is that I say 'kudos' to Cadillac for their "in-your-face' American spirit ad -
Long May They Live....
