"Effective leadership is putting first things first."

You know what I like about Rick Santorum? Sanity. He brings back sanity to this country. Every day you see and hear and read about craziness, and it's becoming unbearable. Craziness in every sector. And it's so refreshing to hear someone who actually makes sense. You know, like reading the bill before you vote for it.

I just read about several parents who are raising their adopted children as the opposite sex. Some are even changing their child's sex while they are young. Why, in God's name, would we allow this? This is child abuse in my view. It's THAT kind of craziness that I'm talking about...

THIS is why we hold our presidential candidate to a higher standard. The other day my ninth grader told me that she uses me as the benchmark - if I do it, it becomes okay for her to do it. A lightbulb went off in my head that it's the same for American citizens. We use our president as a benchmark - so what they do becomes okay to us. Do you get it? This is one of the reasons why it is so important to get an honorable person for this position. That, and they (at least currently) are the leader of the free world.

The only candidate that makes my gut say "aaahhh" is Santorum. He is so straightforward and honest. No spinning necessary for his staff - he says what he means and means what he says. No flip-flopping like Romney. No vengeful antics like Gingrich. Just a really good, smart, decent man. Some say the president can only do so much since Congress is much of the rest of it. Well, tell that to our current president who is overriding the constitution and doing whatever the heck he wants. Too, the president is also the figure-head for our country, and does set the tone. I'm praying for Rick Santorum to win. Because I want what's best for this country and in fact the entire planet.
