Today President Obama called for a moment of silence for victims of the Tucson, Arizona shootings at 11 a.m. The White House website quotes the president as saying that, "it will be a time for us to come together as a nation in prayer or reflection, keeping the victims and their families closely at heart." Somehow this incident really struck me at how different this president is in comparison to men of faith like George W. Bush or Ronald Reagan.... Although I appreciate his effort to pause, I feel like it was totally appropriate for a PRAYER because only prayer will call upon the Almighty God to answer us, in asking for comfort for the families and healing for those fighting for their lives.
