It was just a question of time before the media started really looking at the candidate's wives (and in the case of Michelle Bachmann, her husband.) This particular story dissed Gingrich's wife (far left) as the ex-mistress wearing frumpy clothes. It also said Huntsman's wife (second from left) and Romney's wife (third from left) both are their husband's high school sweethearts, both converted to Mormonism for their husbands, and both had five children. Anita Perry (fourth from left) was a long-time nurse until her husband became Agriculture Commissioner, has two children and is very relatable. Ron Paul's wife (second from right) is 76 years old and rarely is seen on the campaign trail. Santorum's wife (far right) has never been seen campaigning, is the mother of their 7 children, and has written a book about her miscarriage in 1996. And Bachmann's husband is president of a Christian counseling firm and has helped her raise 5 children and 28 foster children. With the Iowa election only a few days away, I'm anxious to see how this all shakes out.
