"Be careful what you wish for..."

Well we're hearing now that they are looking for "protesters" on Craigslist and willing to pay them around $350 per week. There is free food, free drugs and free love. And stupid, stupid Mayor Bloomberg is saying they can stay indefinitely. Wow. You would think he would want to clean all of that up for the tourists, but no, that was Mayor Guiliani that cleaned up NYC.

No, as I recall, before any of this started, Bloomberg was saying that there would be rioting in the streets. Now they have all these punks doing drugs and having sex out in the open, while there is a photo of a guy pooping on a police car, and garbage everywhere, literally and figuratively.
How do you like it now, Mayor??

"Be careful what you wish for..."

Recently New York City's Mayor Blumberg made a prediction that there would be rioting in the streets. Evidently that self-proclaimed prophecy has come true, and it's called "Occupy Wall Street." I didn't know about this since Big Media is not covering it. No, I learned about it from my thirty-something son, who found out about it from twitter. Seems the college kids are mad that they can't find jobs, and are protesting out of lack of knowledge, as I see it. They are protesting that the rich pay less taxes than the others, which is not true by any statistics. I'm not rich, but I call them as I see them, and the rich are the ones creating the jobs, not people like me.

These 'kids' are coming from liberal universities close by, and have been fed the liberal agenda, so of course anarchy is always the answer. The Huffington Post reported today that Ryan Reed, 21, a senior at Rutgers University, was missing class to attend the protest, but his professors are letting him make up the work by writing papers about the experience. Ryan said, "The enemy is the big business leaders of Wall Street, the big oil company leaders, the coal company leaders, the big military industrial leaders." Another student, Kaitlyn Leigh, 21, from Rochester said, "It's all about creating a community in this liberated space."
Why is everybody so stupid?

"I've seen the future and it is us."

Just posted a very cool video about how it might be for some in 2020. Gosh that sounds so far away... yet it's only in 8 years and 3 mos...

Anyway.
This morning at work I was lamenting about how Americans don't invent things anymore, and my coworker showed me this video. But I mean, come on... When I was young and everyone went to Disneyland, they had this COOL exhibit called Tomorrowland that showed us Baby Boomers how cool it would be when we were adults. And we watched the cartoon the Jetsons, and were overwhelmed with their life of touch buttons. Remember the one with Judy Jetson saying her fingertips hurt from pushing buttons all day? Hello! Here we are. I'm thinking, life in 2011 has started to become the Jetsons and am wondering if the Jetsons creator knew that today's inventers would reference his creativity and make those things happen? And WHERE are the forward thinking people like the Jetson's creator of today? Are the only ones inventing at Apple? Americans not only don't produce anything any more, but we also don't invent anything any more either. We've become a nation of slackers. We sit in front of the TV or the video games or the sports event and say, "Entertain me, entertain me." and "Dance, monkey, dance!" Our country is doing worse and worse in math and science, and the only math professors in colleges these days are foreign. No one's a math major any more! Or for that matter, a doctor. The new generation just want to be pop stars or hip hop stars. We want to spend beyond our means and think we're entitled to things without hard work. In the area of Texas that I live in, only the Hispanics do the hard work. They're the only ones who are even willing to work. What's happened to the American work ethic? Have the unions ruined that for our society? And remember when Hurricane Katrina happened - there were GENERATIONS of folks who had never worked. They sat on the porch and collected a check just like their parents and grandparents before them. This is why long term welfare is actually very detrimental for our society. It creates dependents. Victims. Entitlements. A cycle of welfare. Which leads to a cycle of crime. It's just a vicious cycle. We've let the NEA dumb down our schools and dumb down our kids, and now the top universities have all the foreigners that actually learned something. It's going to be a long way back. A long, painful way back.
If we even can...

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap." - Galatians 6:7

Here is Shwejga Mullah, 30, an Ethiopian nanny for the Gaddafi family. She suffered major burns when Hannibal Gaddafi's wife, Aline, threw boiling water over her when she refused to discipline a child. Her entire body was covered in weeping scabs when she was discovered abandoned in a room at one of the family's luxury seaside villas in western Tripoli last month when she was too sick and weak to leave. She told CNN last month that she came from her home country to work as a nanny for the couple's young daughter and son a year ago. She explained how (model) Aline lost her temper when her daughter wouldn't stop crying and Mullah refused to beat the child. "She took me to a bathroom. She tied my hands behind my back and tied my feet. She taped my mouth, and she started pouring the boiling water on my head. There were maggots coming out of my head, because she had hidden me and no one had seen me," she recalled. "When she did all this to me, for three days, she wouldn't let me sleep. I stood outside in the cold with no food." Mullah was burned twice, the incident before this was three months ago. A colleague who did not want to give his name, also said he had been regularly beaten and slashed with knives, and also verified Mullah's story. Mullah added that she received no payment for the year she worked for the Gaddafis.

I relay this story to say that I love the USA and think it's worth fighting for...

"No man is rich enough to buy back his past..."

Here are some shots of the World Trade Center Twin Towers from movies shot in NYC.
The Twin Towers opened in 1973.
They were a symbol of pride, not only for New York, but for the United States as well.
The tour boats always went by them for tourists to take photos in front of.

Early on a tight rope walker went between the 2 buildings, unauthorized obviously.

Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson in "Die Hard."
King Kong
I just wish that we could go back to how it was on September 10th, 2001 and prior. The world is so different now, as we fight a war as we've never fought before. It wasn't another country that attacked us, it was a religion. We're in a 'War on Terror.' And the enemy wants us all to die. They don't want our land, they want our souls. They want to conquer us and make us follow their religious Sharia law. They hate freedom, as they even voiced in their rally this past Sunday in Pakistan. We were minding our own business and they provoked us with the attack. They seem to resent our power, our beliefs, and our way of life.

I just wish we could go back...

"Begin the begin..."

Ten years ago today started out like any other, but became a turning point in American history. We all know where we were and what we were doing when the attacks began.
On this 10th anniversary of 9/11/01, I have taken the day just to remember. My youngest is not feeling well, so I have watched television most of the day and seen many of the tributes. Others in my family say they aren't watching because they don't want to relive those moments, but I think it's important to "Not forget" like we said we would. Too, it has been 10 years, and we need to do a little more on these red letter days. When I watch all of the clips, I am so proud to be an American, and truth be told, on September 11th every year I wish I were a New Yorker. They have true heroes in their fire and police departments, and they make me want to be a better person. No wonder they named today "Patriot Day," I feel the most patriotic this day more than any other. And yes, even 10 years later and many miles away, I still shed tears for those who have suffered after losing loved ones in such a horrific way. It's the children that I feel the most for - the void left in their lives, for what? Because radical Muslims want to kill all infidels? I don't get it and I never will. These mad men (and women) are completely deceived and blinded by lies of the enemy. And it has changed our world. For the worse. And my guess is, when those planes hit the World Trade Center, the beginning of the end began. The end times. The spirit of the Anti-Christ just manifested itself.
And it's just a matter of time...

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."

The Twins of Twin Towers
Ten years ago on September 11th, 3,000 people died in New York's Twin Towers and 46 of them were twins. For twins, it's like losing their other half since they have been unusually close since birth. The years since 9/11 have been difficult for the twins: no longer part of a twosome, they have had to reinvent themselves. And for the spouses of the dead twins, seeing the surviving sibling has sometimes proved traumatic. Ten years later, they are all doing their best to get on with their lives but they still define themselves as twins. As Olivia Lichtenstein (who has made a documentary film about the twins who lost their 'other halves' in the 9/11 attacks) has said, "When you spend time with them, you can almost feel the shadow of their missing twin beside them."

So sad...

"Dig the well before you are thirsty..." - Chinese proverb

Just a quick post to say that Alex (who is 3 months pregnant with her first child) was talking to other young mothers the other day about their children. These other upwardly-mobile, trendy Austin moms were saying that the "new thing" is to make sure their young children learn Mandarin (Chinese) so they would be assured of a fabulously paying job in the future. Say what?! But then the more I thought about it, that's probably spot-on correct. The Chinese own most of the American debt, and the chances of us ever being to pay it back are slim to none, so.... it's easy to deduce that the haunting commercial where the Chinese laugh at us will probably come true for the children who are under 5 at this time... I mean SERIOUSLY, we simply cannot afford 4 more years of these socialists in power. Every time I see that commercial of the Chinese in that classroom in the future talking about how the Americans of 2011 were completely stupid and let them buy us out of everything, I wince. I'm hoping it's not too late. I'm hoping that we can take our country back.

I'm hoping Alex's baby won't have to learn Mandarin...

"IF my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways..."

THEN I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their land."

How refreshing to see a governor of a large state pray for our nation. To recognize that all good gifts come from our Father in heaven. Yes, Texas' Governor Rick Perry isn't afraid to pray, nor is he afraid to call this huge gathering today for people all over this nation to humble themselves and ask God for His mercy and grace.
Note on the scripture above that God is calling HIS people to intercede, HIS people to turn from their wicked ways, HIS people to humble themselves, HIS people to pray, HIS people to seek His face, not the non-Christians. And if we do, He will hear, will forgive and will heal our land. And we definitely need that.
It's up to us, His children...

"The only difference between the USA and the Titanic? The Titanic had a band."

Is it just me or does it feel like the world is coming to an end??! And I mean like in 2 weeks... The whole world has gone crazy and it's like living on top of a house of cards. Ordinarily I'm the happiest of the week on a Friday night, but not tonight. After this whole 'debt debacle,' it's hard to get excited about the future. And of course tonight, for the first time in American history, our S&P credit rating was reduced. When I talk to anyone with a job, they're just thankful they have one. I heard on the radio today that 42% of Americans are not working. At all. How will we continue? It feels like the Titanic. We've hit the iceberg. We're taking water. Everyone knows something is really wrong, but thinks surely we won't sink. The Titanic is like the United States - too big to fail. Or are we? It's just a matter of time when things will go quickly and poof. Then we're all out in the cold ice water. Hoping we're part of the 2% that gets rescued. Meanwhile our president is partying like it's 1998. He's going to be on the first lifeboat out - the one that conveniently leaves without even filling it up. He'll make sure he and his family are okay. He has no clue what's going to happen. Nor does he seem to care. How could anyone with any decency at all go out and party like he has when so much damage to the USA has been done the past few weeks?! Everyone keeps saying he's really stupid or really evil, but either way he's not the one that should be captain of this ship. And if we're talking about stupid, then he could hire smart people to do his work for him. That leaves the other alternative - is he trying to sink this ship?

It appears so....

"We can do it!"

Just saw today that today over 14 million are unemployed in the U.S.

We have more men and women idle than at any time since the Great Depression.
One out of five men of prime working age are not getting up to go to work.
The unemployment rate is 16% nationwide.
Ten years ago, 5 million were collecting federal disability payments, now the number is 8 million.
My grown children call me exasperated with their jobs because things aren't like they used to be. It seems no one can just go and do their job anymore. Each time someone quits, it's like musical chairs. And the company employees have to take up the slack because no one is rehired to do that job. And everyone is stressed and can't take it anymore. And there's no money to do what they used to do, which adds even more to the stress. They can't even afford to have children living in Austin. I would like to say it's going to get better, but I don't think it will for a long time. And LOTS will change in the mean time and maybe not in my life time.

We ALL know how important the next election is. Critical. The very future of this nation hangs on this election. So here's my ideas of what the next president should do:

1. Close the borders. All of the illegals in Texas are ruining the school systems and the healthcare here. I say we should give amnesty to the ones that are here since they already are, but COMPLETELY CLOSE THE BORDERS. If we don't do this, we are wasting our time. If we keep letting people over, we will not be able to recover. Period. Trust me people. If you're not in Texas, you don't understand. They are the majority here now and they are making demands.
We HAVE to close the borders or else...
2. Repeal Obamacare or else we go under. Period. It was ridiculous and we should be able to annul it since no one even read it. This is a no-brainer.
3. Get out of all the wars we are in. How in the world can we win???!!! Those people have no quality of life and are willing to strap bombs to their children to get to the virgins with Allah. A nuclear bomb would not end it like with World War II. Nothing will. We need to save our young people's lives and save the trillions.
4. We need to stop sending a billion here and a billion there at all the other countries. Stop with the borrowing money to pay other countries. It's insane.
5. We need to keep jobs here in America and put penalties on businesses that outsource. Period.
6. No more stimulus. No more TARP. No more "too big to fail." No more buying the lies. We need to always let the market fix itself.
7. We need to get much much stricter with disability and unemployment benefits. Only to the ones in real need. The Bible says if a man doesn't work, a man doesn't eat. Amen to that.
8. We need to stop the insanity about "separation of church and state." We need our freedoms back. We need state's rights back.
9. All politicians get the same healthcare as everyone else. And they have term limits. We don't want or need the lifers like Ted Kennedy who keep voting themselves raises.
10. We need to return to what the country's founding fathers wrote and follow the constitution.

U.S.A. - Love it or leave it, but don't change it.
