Wow. I know the USA is having money problems, but are we "throwing out the baby with the bath?" This current administration has now grounded the shuttles for good, and many are accusing the government of leaving astronauts no other way but to hitchhike into space. When polled, most Americans are leary of this decision, while we leave the Chinese and Russians with all of the advantages of space programs. NASA will now send our astronauts on Russian spaceships, which most of us are left scratching our heads. And what about missile defense? And what about satellites, which are critical to EVERYTHING in our society today?
I know cutting the fat in our society isn't easy, but we have got to start. I think we're giving way too much money to other countries. And being in 3 wars is ridiculous across the board. And how about all those programs that have bankrupt us, like Fannie and Freddie?
I STILL say we need all new men and women running this country.
