We Will Not Forget...

What a strange, strange time.... If ever I felt like the entire WORLD is standing at a fork in the road, it's NOW. It's such a helpless feeling really. All of the U.S.'s warships are just sitting there. Waiting. Meanwhile our president is.... playing golf. And flip-flopping. And drawing the line a year ago, and now denying that he drew the line, even though there is video to show what he said. And he said he was going to strike Syria, and then later says, no, he will now ask for a vote from Congress. Yet he lets them stay on vacation until today, and plays more golf.
DOES ANYBODY UNDERSTAND THIS?!?  We are supposedly on the precipice of freakin' WORLD WAR III and Congress continues to vacay while our president continues to golf... They don't seem to be taking this seriously... at all. But all of the other countries are. They all have lost total confidence in the U.S. and our leaders. Here we are, the leaders of the FREE WORLD, and we as a country are acting like kids skipping school. Flippant. Defiant. Heads stuck in the sand.
This is SO frustrating.... Conservatives 'get it.' We are all screaming at the top of our lungs about Syria, defunding Obamacare, blah, blah, blah, but it feels like we are on a freight train that's on the highway to hell as we go off the tracks - sort of like that bullet train did a few weeks ago in Europe. And our "conductor" is of the same mentality - an idiot who wants to see how fast he can go with no regard for the human lives he is responsible for.
We are two days away from 9-11. My gut feeling says it will be a day to remember, and not in the good way. Benghazi happened last year on that date, and jihadists everywhere now love that day to wreak havoc on infidels. I want to take the day off and just pray and think and "jump off the merry-go-round of life" for a day, and reflect. Life is going too fast lately. Everyone seems too busy, and no one has any time to help others or be kind or listen. There's just not enough time.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope the day goes by without incident. But I also know my gut is rarely wrong.
Very rarely...
