Sorry readers, slow news weekend... So! My continued Fashion Police coverage of Prince Albert's not-ready-for-primetime wedding. Here is the bride after she changed into her second dress (seems to be the new trend so you can be photographed a little more casual.) And then here is Prince Albert looking like Gopher on "The Love Boat."
As a matter of fact, the gay-looking uniform on men was quite the style yesterday, and evidently all women who own or could borrow a crown...
I call this the "Statue of Liberty" look...
Note the couple looks like they're going to a costume party...
And the more medals on the uniforms the more impressive...
This is sort of a Prom look, where the guy coordinated his sash with her dress...
Ugh, more of the same. Are these people boring or what?!
And when you don't have a crown, just settle for the Miss America sash with no title...
I'm just a "commoner" but I KNOW I could have dressed better than these women...

"And they lived happily ever after??"
Okay, no offense, but this wedding was such a let down. I guess after seeing Britain's wedding-of a-lifetime with William and Kate, this one just did NOT measure up. Granted the groom is 53 and allegedly this "sailor has a woman in every port," so there's that... Then we hear of illegitimate children and a bride with cold feet who looks like she had to take a Xanax to get down the aisle. And then there's her dress... I don't want to be tacky (really I don't) but this dress is SO disappointing. She has all the money and all the designers to choose from, and THIS is what she chooses?! Boring... I mean here is a 33 year old bride with a great figure (former Olympic swimmer) and this dress is terribly blahse. And Prince Albert is in uniform, but just doesn't have the charisma that William did. Even the guests weren't as fun as the big English wedding. Some of them wore hats and even THOSE were disappointing. And what's with the flower girl's dresses? They are part Austrian and part Chinese??

"The Show Must Go On..."
Well, I'm in a snarky mood, so think I will critique these two holy matrimonies today... Kate Moss has the gall to wear a virgin white dress?! I think I've seen more photos of her doing cocaine than normal modeling pix.
And look at THIS awkward kiss - yack - that's what SHE's thinking. A Paris newspaper is standing by their story two days ago that Charlene Wittstock bought a one-way plane ticket back to South Africa where she's from. Now dubbed "Runaway Bride," (wow, another blonde gold digger with second thoughts about marrying for money) this woman is said to have found out about Prince Albert of Monaco's second love child... She DID go through with it today in a civil ceremony, with a very formal wedding scheduled for tomorrow that they hope will rival his mother's wedding to Prince Rainier in 1956.

My beautiful niece got married last night to her soul mate. She met her new husband seven years ago in the first semester of college, and they both knew that each other was "The One" the first week they met. They are such a sweet couple and so in love. It is so refreshing to see two people who were meant for each other finally get married! KK used to come over to play with Alex when they were really young and play Barbies. As I recited at the rehearsal dinner, Alex's Barbie would be very pragmatic and go to work, while KK's Barbie lived in a castle with a fantasy life.

Weddings restore my hope for humanity... ah yes, love and marriage. We went to a beautiful wedding tonight, with a beautiful bride, and white twinkle lights, and wedding cake and marriage toasts. In our small town, weddings are the social events of the year. It's a great mix of really nice old people, the middle-aged, and the young kids and babies, all welcome at the event. It's part of the reason I moved to a small town and accept the fact that I cannot make as much money as I could make in the city. But when you attend a local wedding, it confirms your original thought. It's so great to know everyone in town. And to know that they look out for you, as well as your children. In our town, settled by the Germans, they used to live out on farms in the surrounding area, and drive into town on Saturdays to shop for what they needed, go to social events like weddings, and then wake up and go to church. They owned tiny houses in town for the weekends, which are called Sunday houses. These German-Americans are the salt of the earth and some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They have kept their traditions alive, and have maintained our town as a wonderful place to live. I love my little Norman Rockwell town. I'm so blessed to live here...
