"Where's the Beef? Part 4"

Yes, I know... It sounds creepy for a Baby Boomer aged woman to think that Prince Harry is handsome, but it's not like we will ever be dating! I just think he is darling... And yes, his brother is handsome too, but Harry has that twinkle in his eye and that adventurous spirit. He's the kind of guy that makes the girls swoon (oh, there I go, dating myself) but he has tons of charm and the looks to go with it.

I've watched the stats on my blog, and I find it curious and fascinating that more of my readers are in the UK than any other country! Yes, we are kindred spirits and ALL of my ancestors came from the UK, so really, we ARE family. When my parents went to Europe when I was in college, they came back and said I would like London the most, and in particular, Harrod's. I would love to visit and actually love to live there, at least for awhile. We Americans love the English, and truly think of them as family - older family.

Fashion Police at Monaco Wedding

Sorry readers, slow news weekend... So! My continued Fashion Police coverage of Prince Albert's not-ready-for-primetime wedding. Here is the bride after she changed into her second dress (seems to be the new trend so you can be photographed a little more casual.) And then here is Prince Albert looking like Gopher on "The Love Boat."
As a matter of fact, the gay-looking uniform on men was quite the style yesterday, and evidently all women who own or could borrow a crown...



I call this the "Statue of Liberty" look...
Note the couple looks like they're going to a costume party...
And the more medals on the uniforms the more impressive...
This is sort of a Prom look, where the guy coordinated his sash with her dress...
Ugh, more of the same. Are these people boring or what?!


And when you don't have a crown, just settle for the Miss America sash with no title...
I'm just a "commoner" but I KNOW I could have dressed better than these women...

And last but not least, Worst Dressed...

"And they lived happily ever after??"

Okay, no offense, but this wedding was such a let down. I guess after seeing Britain's wedding-of a-lifetime with William and Kate, this one just did NOT measure up. Granted the groom is 53 and allegedly this "sailor has a woman in every port," so there's that... Then we hear of illegitimate children and a bride with cold feet who looks like she had to take a Xanax to get down the aisle. And then there's her dress... I don't want to be tacky (really I don't) but this dress is SO disappointing. She has all the money and all the designers to choose from, and THIS is what she chooses?! Boring... I mean here is a 33 year old bride with a great figure (former Olympic swimmer) and this dress is terribly blahse. And Prince Albert is in uniform, but just doesn't have the charisma that William did. Even the guests weren't as fun as the big English wedding. Some of them wore hats and even THOSE were disappointing. And what's with the flower girl's dresses? They are part Austrian and part Chinese??

I guess William and Kate's wedding was a hard act to follow...

"Would-a, Could-a, Should-a"

Well, I find this photo very sad, and somewhat disconcerting... When Diana died in 1997, it just seemed so senseless. Here was someone who had security 24/7 and she could not be protected from the drunk security driver while chased by paparazzi?? On William's wedding day, you could feel William and Harry's sadness that their mother was not there to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event. And then here is a photo of what Diana could have looked like after these 14 years, alongside her daughter-in-law, and it's just almost too hard to look at. Something about this photo strikes a nerve with me. All of the "What if's" in life seem to be represented if bad things didn't happen.

I hope Catherine can take all of the positive things from her 'mantle'....
