Just a quick Sunday night post... Who is the best current candidate for the next presidential election? Anyone but Obama!! Really, as I look at all of the Republican candidates so far, I would vote for ANY of them. My preference is that Texas Governor Rick Perry get in the race, but he's waiting on Sarah Palin to decide, as he will not run if she does. And truthfully, after Obama, most conservatives I know want an exciting candidate to run against this incumbent. We seem to know that with this kind of economy, anyone should beat him, it's just that it will be a lot more fun with someone exciting. This next year and a half will be wearing on the country, what with the kind of lamestream, biased media that we have. So we are all preparing ourselves for an ugly media war. And in this kind of sound bite mentality, you want to have someone classy, cute and smart instead of someone who comes across as boring. If you think about it, there is no way that Abraham Lincoln could run these days and win. He just wasn't handsome enough for television. And as much as I agree with Sarah Palin, I am NOT ready for a year and a half of Palin-bashing like we've never seen.
