I have a dream...

Earlier today my older daughter Alex pointed out something that is true - when a beautiful, young, Dancing With the Stars dancer, singer and now actress (Julianne Hough) dresses up in 'black face' for Halloween, everyone cuts her all kinds of slack but when Baby Boomer aged, Southern with an accent, 'rich,' nationally known cook Paula Dean said the N word thirty years ago, she is tarred and feathered and loses almost all advertisers and sponsors... She cries for months and says she's sorry, but it's never enough for the new 'race police,' who randomly pick whom they will label 'racist' or whom is pulled off the chopping block.
Race relations are much worse in the last four years of the current president, and it seems to me that he has an agenda of payback to the current whites, who were NOT responsible or involved with the previous slavery of African-Americans. I was also reading today that in the new Obamacare, that individuals aged 76 or older will not be eligible for cancer treatment (see page 272 in the bill.)
I'm wondering if this is so the older 'racists' will all be killed off???

I'm all for fun costumes but Halloween has become sleazy & gross with Hollywood leading the charge. Last night DD and friends went to a big haunted house in the city & most of the people there were in costumes similar to these - all I could think was that they looked like Obama  voters...

Keeping Up With the Kraziness...

Well, while the USA is going to "hell in a hand basket," the idiots in this country are smoking weed and watching TMZ and all other mindless pop shows to watch (not read) the 'big' story that Baby Daddy of Kim Kardashian's new baby "North,"  Kanye West,  proposed to her. On her birthday.
Big Wow.
They already have a baby, so this is a huge 'surprise' to her or anyone else??? Was everyone waiting with baited breath to see if he would walk away or ask her to marry him??? Isn't this a no brainer?? In order to get even MORE attention, Kim and Kanye will have to plan an even bigger extravaganza than her last wedding (just a mere 2 years ago) to some basketball player that she was married to for what,  two point five seconds, and the divorce took longer than the marriage lasted. As a matter of fact, she was still married to her last husband when she got pregnant with Kanye's baby. But these days no one thinks anything of this. She's a 'reality star' and they don't play by the same rules as everyone else - she sets the rules.
Why she or the rest of her family are interesting to ANYONE baffles me. They don't DO anything. They are not talented in a sport, or dance or decorating or singing or acting or any type of work. No, they just are famous because Kim made some sex tape, and then the whole family got on board and did a reality show with her. The mother is a media 'whore' directing all of it, now getting her two younger daughters, Kendall and Kylie, with Bruce Jenner (whom she just left)  involved in the nasty world of modeling, as their agent.
And Americans just eat it up. It's like watching a train wreck - many want to slow down and rubber neck just to see the drama and the big mess they have made. Maybe it's a distraction from a mundane life. Maybe it's from boredom. Maybe since they are 'reality' stars with no real talent, it gives those types hope that it could happen to them?
I'm not kidding when I say that I have only seen about 2 minutes of any of their show. And I think it actually scarred me. I was flipping channels on a weekend a while back with the remote and landed on the show. I decided to watch a bit to see what it was like and it was nauseating. It was when the cuter sister just found out she was pregnant with her second child and the whole show was her saying that it was inconvenient and she didn't think she wanted to keep the child. Meanwhile she is married, has a son that is in all the pictures, and lots of help. She talked to each sister in the show to get their advice on whether to abort or not. It was sickening.
I changed the channel at that point, but have seen that she did have that second child, so I guess that she, too, decided it would bring her yet more attention, and decided to keep it??
Meanwhile, the USA is like the Titanic and has hit the iceberg, and is filling with water.

So much girl drama today for my high schooler - in tears all day... Why are girls sooo mean these days - it's eat or be eaten. I've been saying several years, where are the girls that have your back and are true, loyal friends???
