May Day, May Day

It's already May?... and summer's just around the corner? And prom is this weekend... and our water just went out at our house -- evidently the well pump went out so we are now waiting for the city (aka the government) to set us up on city water... Meanwhile a garden hose is feeding into our water pipes -- ugh.... The weather continues to be very weird... we are expecting a big cold front tonight, and in Texas?? It's usually really hot by now. Global warming?!? Pshapppp. This is the coldest spring I can ever remember. And as a salesperson, I'm having to work twice as hard to get half the business. My boss added a Johnny Manziel section to boost our numbers for April, but she did say I exceeded her expectations, so there's that... Alex' husband got a better job elsewhere, so they will be moving soon. And my high schooler keeps telling me that she is only in a handful of people at her public school that are not having sex.
Which brings me to the Plan B - morning after pill. These kids are bombarded with sex 24/7 - it's changed even in the last 5-10 years. The rap songs are so vile, I can't even imagine. Just read today on Drudge that some rapper named Danny Brown (see pic) "allegedly engaged in oral sex with a fan in the middle of his show" for all to see. It happened 5 days ago in Minneapolis. And there were lots of witnesses and many tweeted that they were close by and disgusted - and these were his type of audience. Who could imagine this in their worst nightmare?? And this is the world that we raise our children in...

Evidently the rest of the country thinks Texas is fair game since they think they are a few rednecks down than they used to be. It's disgusting and uncivil. People died.
-- Peaceful muslims protecting terrorist muslim. 3 accused in dumping bomber's laptop. Ummm, yeah. I've been saying this for years - why don't the peaceful muslims stand up to the radicals and tell them to stop. Answer? Because they believe the same but aren't as proactive.
-- MoveOn.org demands ESPN suspend analyst over his Christian views on homosexuality. Yeah. Every day is opposite day now. Tim Tebow is told to shut up about his faith in Christ but Jason Collins for coming out is now the big hero and soooo brave. 
-- Benghazi's silenced witnesses hidden in plain sight? Help hostage by own govt. This is just scary people. Are we a communist country now??
-- Redskins quarterback RGII comes under fire for tweet about "tyranny." Again - opposite day. (See above)
-- Paul Ryan comes out of the closet, says gay couples should be allowed to adopt. Don't children deserve a mother AND a father?  Hmmmm???

Just read that New York City middle schools are going to lengthen the school day to 6:00 p.m.
Does anybody else find that totally depressing???
These liberals really DO believe that our children aren't really ours. They CLEARLY want to raise them. They want to send them home at 6:00 p.m., eat, and go to bed?? What about extracurricular things like dance, music lessons or sports?? Or how about friends? Or birthday parties?
It's just disgusting.
Are the NYC parents going to protest at all?? Are they going to just go along with this?? What if the working mom gets off at 4 p.m.? Does she have to wait at the school? Go home and come back? In NYC?? What if it's a stay-at-home mom? ( I realize those are dinosaurs now, but there HAVE to be some.)  That's my perfect segue into something else I read today - that the prez is totally against homeschooling.

Yesterday I read that at a middle school in New York, 13 and 14 year old girls went to an 'anti-bullying' presentation, yet the focus was instead on homosexuality and gender identity.
Parents learned their daughters were told to ask another girl for a kiss and two girls were told to stand in front of class and pretend they were lesbians on a date. They were also taught words such as 'pansexual' and 'genderqueer.'  Parents were given no warning about the presentation and there was no opportunity to opt out. The superintendent told The Poughkeepsie Journal that the presentation was "focused on improving culture, relationships, communication and self-perceptions."
Yeah, the typical liberal gobbledy-speak to push their public school pro-homosexual agenda on children that they say are not really ours to educate and "don't belong" to us....
I don't know about you, but I am SO tired of the homosexual agenda being pushed down our throats. In the media, it seems like ABC has inserted homosexuality in just about every show on. I am seriously considering getting rid of my cable television because for $100 per month, it's 95% garbage.
We need to take our country back and our children back.
It starts with us...

It's been "a day...."  As I mentioned yesterday, my day started at 8:00 a.m. with a root canal.... I mean, that one is in the top 5 things I hate most... It was grueling, and she had to give me so much Novacaine that it didn't wear off until after 4:00 p.m. - which was embarressing because I picked up DD to have lunch at 12:30, and ran into lots of people we know with a cyclops mouth. Even my eye and tongue were numb, and it was full strength all day.
The funeral for my high schooler's friend started at 3:00, but since this boy was a star football, basketball and track player/runner, we knew the church would fill up fast. We got to the church at 1:45 with the heartbroken dad greeting everyone at the church foyer, along with the very sad casket and viewing of his deceased and only son. And since his son had died from an overdose of a new chemical drug that some idiot bought on the internet, the son's face was dark purple, of which the funeral home had tried to cover (unsuccessfully) with makeup. His father kept running his hands through his 16 year old son's hair, saying he wouldn't be able to do that much longer.  The father even spoke at the eulogy, telling funny stories about his son - and this was after his best friend, who found the two boys late last Friday night, had also spoken at the eulogy. That man (Jeff) had said the families have been life long friends, and he had never known Sam to be anything but sweet and humble and polite, with good character. They both begged the audience not to define Sam by his one bad decision, as he had never been known to do drugs, and was a smart, funny, talented good guy. All of our town's football and basketball players were there in their school jerseys, and it was overwhelming at times. The funeral lasted almost two hours with lots of stories, special written music for the funeral, and a message by the very outgoing pastor.
The funeral even started 15 minutes late because the parents were crying so hard, they couldn't go down the aisle. They had been playing some sad country songs over a sound system before it started, and the dad was singing one of them outloud to his son in the casket. There weren't many dry eyes in the house....
The pastor did address the drug problem in the school and told the football players to say "Hell no" to drug dealers. And at the end of the message, the pastor said that he had been searching for a symbol for it all, and had searched for 4 days. He finally found it last night at 1:00. He said the youth pastor found it last night at 2:00. They realized when they saw Sam's dad holding vigil over Sam's body all last night at the church, that it was his "only begotten son," and that today the father would be giving Sam over to God, (who understands because He lost His only begotten son) and He would be watching vigil over Sam from now on.
The funeral procession to the cemetery was the longest one I've ever seen, and people stood outside and lined many of the streets or pulled over in respect. That cemetery service was short and poignant, and ended with the high school's fight song, and again... not many dry eyes in the huge crowd.
It's just been a sad, sad day....

Tomorrow I have to have a root canal and go to a 16 year old's funeral... The good news is that the other boy that overdosed is going to be okay. DD says its been two full days of crying at school as its very tragic about the death of her classmate.

There is so much happening at the government level, that it's hard to keep up with. Granted, I work a full-time job and am a single mother, so I try the best I can. What is always so obvious to me, is never to others... Like last Friday... when the government shut down the ENTIRE city of Boston!! A city of a million people. No buses. No cabs. No college classes. No nothing. Everyone was told to stay in their house. And then?? Martial law. People's houses were being searched without warrants. Those inside were scared and told to come out with their hands up.
Was I the only one bothered about this?!?
I've never seen this before in my life. Ever. To COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN A HUGE CITY??? Trying to catch one teenager?? Yes, I know that he committed an atrocity and yes, I wanted to get the bad guys too. But I've NEVER seen this sort of thing... And nothing is EVER this open and shut. All of those Bostonians were in the streets celebrating the end of terror in Boston... but I'm not so sure this is all there was to this. I see on obscure websites that someone is saying those two were double agents but ultimately sided with the radical Islamists?? I've seen pictures of military there with some saying it was a "False Flag", so was it a "come-to-life" Bourne Identity movie?? There is so much speculation, and I can see why. Something just doesn't smell right.... My gut feeling (and intelligence for that matter) says there is a LOT more to this story than we'll ever know.
All we can really do is vote people we trust as our leaders and leave it in their hands...
