On Friday night, our high school elected a Down Syndrome girl as Homecoming queen. It made several news stations, in both Austin and Houston and our small town's one high school was praised for doing so. Homecoming queen is a big deal in this town. Only five senior girls are nominated by their senior peers, and there are no boys or underclassmen. Only five senior girls which are then voted on by the entire school of students. In the almost 20 years that I have lived here, it has always been five pretty, well-liked girls, but this year it was the Down Syndrome girl and 4 others that surprised everyone when it was announced at a pep rally two weeks ago. Many said that the Down Syndrome girl was so special needs that she would not even understand what was happening. This was, in fact, the case although she seemed to love all the hugs. When I asked my daughter who she voted for, she answered the mascot because they are good friends and she is a very involved in school activities and has a great attitude. But, she said, most felt obligated to vote for the Down Syndrome girl and did so.
I bring this up to say that this is how I think Obama got voted in. He was voted in because he was black and this country has a lot of guilt over slavery. Too, I think he won the second term because those same voters did not want to give him a bad report card on his first term....
How sad that people choose race or looks to vote for someone when their very livelihood depends on who wins. Why can't people look at that person's character and experience? Why can't people take the time to research a person's background for themselves instead of depending on inaccurate ads and a media who is no longer objective??
And now we have a large number of Republicans who did not even vote to defund "Obamacare?"
Is this, too, because he is black??

Highway to hell
So I just read that Obama told Iran that the GOP are "extremists." REALLY??!! HALF THE COUNTRY ARE EXTREMISTS????? So if you don't agree with him, it is "hate speech??" Republicans are more of the enemy than jihadists??? I realize this isn't something new, but it re-angers me every single time!! He is not the president of the United States - he is president of the liberals and wants the rest of us to die or go away.
My personal theory is that he wants the over 40 generation to die off because he thinks we are racist, religious and raised wrong, when in reality we are raised right! We were not subjected to the lies in the public schools, and the climate warming/ save the environment brain-washing, and the rest of their uber liberal, anti-God, humanistic propaganda. We were taught to think for ourselves.
Now that Obamacare will be implemented, hello 'death panels' where the government can decide who to save and who to let die, and I guarantee you it won't be people who disagree with them. They have hired thousands upon thousands for the IRS to implement this, and we can only assume that this will be the final nail in our coffin.
The stupid Republicans (except for the very few like Ted Cruz) are saying that they are in favor of Obamacare being implemented and failing. Say WHAT??!! What kind of strategy is THAT!!?? Have they been bought out?? Threatened??
It really IS time for states to start seceding. We have all but collapsed. It's all over but the crying. Sanity is gone.
We are on the highway to hell...

"If a man does not to choose to work, neither shall he eat." - 2 Thess. 3:10
Today I read a story that reports that the 10 commandments monument in Washington D.C. was toppled and I think it's symbolic of American society in our current day...
As I was driving this weekend, I was thinking that the last two elections were really about morality. For the most part, liberals (a.k.a. Democrats) don't want conservatives to enforce their rules of morality on them. It was never about race or money or anti-war... it has always been about liberals having the freedom for "free love" (sex) when they want to, abortions (murder) when they want to, get high (legalize marijuana and more) when they want to, get married to a same-sex person when they want to.
And yes, these type of people want everyone else to pay for their liberal lifestyles, and associate the "rich, white guy" as the most evil thing they can think of and the person standing in their way of their wanton wants.
They are usually anti-God because that convicts them of their lifestyles, so they do things like boo God at the Democratic conventions. They want the same perks of the wealthy, yet are not willing to work for them. They have an entitlement mentality that says they want the good stuff, so they want to punish the people who work for it (or were born into it) and are fine with the idea of socialism and communism because it's the opposite of evil capitalism. You see, they just want to redistribute all of the wealth because they either don't believe in themselves to attain the goal of getting wealthy or they are just too lazy to try. They only want to anesthetize themselves for the moment and not worry or plan for tomorrow - that's up to someone else. They want "free" healthcare and "free" phones and "free" food, not caring or else understanding that there is no such thing as "free" anything. Someone somewhere has to supply the money for it, and they are either too dumb to see that or too selfish to care. I think the mentality of all of this started in the 60's out of jealousy. That's when the rebellion started - the "stick it to the man" mantra was developing. In the past, we could spot these types because they looked like hippies, but today these Bill Ayers types have assimilated into society and we can't spot them until they open their mouths.
They took over education and Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and anything else they could and got in on grass roots levels to influence the next generations, and they have succeeded. Now they wish to stop home schooling and any type of parental influence, and have started "public" schooling as toddlers. Government even offers to pay for your children's food in the summers, but always at a "price." They want control over your life in return. That's what Obamacare and all other Democrat ideas are designed for.
If we want America to return to any semblance of how it was 50 years ago, then it will start with God. He is the One that convicts and changes one from the inside out.
It will HAVE to start with God...

"The choice before us is plain: Christ or chaos, conviction or compromise, discipline or disintegration." - Peter Marshall
http://www.wnd.com/2013/09/texan-ag-calls-for-warriors-for-freedom/?cat_orig=politics
I've linked to an interesting article I read earlier this week with our Attorney General candidate saying that if the USA economy collapses, then Texas should separate itself with the rest of the country, even if we have to secede. We have the resources in our state to be self-sufficient, and have the majority of citizens who still value freedom and common sense. Our current Attorney General, Greg Abbott, is running for Governor of Texas, and is a man of integrity and excellent character. He gave Senator Ted Cruz his start in politics, and Cruz has exceeded all expectations I had of him.
Over a year ago I shared something I heard in the town I work in. Christian author and television personality Hal Lindsay was spotted in a car dealership, and the salesman asked him what brought him to Texas. He answered that the Lord had directed him that the U.S. economy was going to collapse but that this area was going to be okay.
The stage is being set...

"God Himself could not sink this ship" - Captain of the Titanic
As I look at all of the news this evening, I am reminded that Rome fell from the inside out, just as the United States is.... And it's all happening so quickly, and especially in this second term of Obama as president. All the Democrats have to do is cry 'racism' if anyone disagrees with whatever they are trying to pass. That, and the executive orders that the president signs and no one calls him on it. We are currently witnessing the disintegration of our freedoms, and it's slow and steady like a drip. Yet soon we will be flooded with a society that we won't even recognize.
Everywhere I turn, everyone is hurting - badly. Jobs are being lost like (the game) "musical chairs" and every day, another chair is pulled out of the game, not to return any time soon. My good friend says America is "circling the drain" and it's only a matter of time that we go down the drain, unless God intervenes. And yes, a miracle is what is needed.
It has all become overwhelming. And we are getting to the point where we are all drowning, and there is no one to throw the lifesaver to us. As a Baby Boomer who was born and raised in the United States, I try to explain to my children that life is vastly different now. What a crying shame that we could end up as a third world country with no good healthcare, or healthy food or transportation when we want to get somewhere. We will lose the arts -- the music, the dance, the extras, the wants - and be reduced to needs only.
My good news is that some of the current prophets are saying that America will have a revival. That we will come out of this depression seeking God and be restored. I know with God all things are possible.
I'm certainly hoping this will be the case...

To the world you may be person, but to one person you may be the world.
Every day I have a 30 minute commute to a larger town to go to work. It's a country highway and is beautiful. There was fog this morning, and the roads were slicker than I've ever seen them. I had to slow way down, as I was sliding a lot. Halfway on my commute, I came around a bend and was the fifth car behind a head-on collision. There was smoke and a few were getting out of their cars. I called 911, as most around me did. I got out and starting running to the worst vehicle, and thank God a nurse was in front of me. There was a man in his forties in an old Ford Ranger truck, and it was "pancaked around him." He was unconscious, and the nurse said she would hold his head since he was pinned in and partially hanging out of the truck. The other vehicle was a truck too with two young electricians pinned in, but conscious. I started praying for the first guy, and it seemed an eternity. Later, the nurse told me she had young children, and could I go check on them and stay with them. Her 6 month old baby was crying, so I got him out and bounced him, and I stood in the mayhem. By this time, at least 40 cars were on the side of the road. It took the DPS, FD and EMT's 20 minutes to get there. They had to unpin "our" guy and worked on him, but finally gave up and put the sheet over his head. Meanwhile, it took longer to get the other two out of their truck, and the Air Flight helicopter had been called.
It's all so sobering... My huge disappointment was that I was one of only FOUR people who got out to help. Everyone else stayed in their cars. It was a long 20 minutes before any emergency workers arrived, and it was eerily quiet.
I often pray that I won't come up on a wreck because it freaks me out, and there are so many bad wrecks on these country roads. But lately I've prayed that if God wanted me to, I would pray for someone as they were dying.
Today I had that chance...

Never Forget...
Well, now that we've moved and have satellite internet, it NEVER works at night... I've called soooo many times, and even called last night for the more expensive plan but it works five minutes and we reboot about 20 times. Consequently I cannot post at night any more, so will at work, but DD only does homework on the internet, so this is a huge problem!!
Here are my random thoughts on today, this solemn day of 9-11.
My first thing to relay is that everyone seems to be taking this day much more seriously than the past few years. I personally always have, but this year it's different. Maybe because we have warships in the Indian Ocean with fingers on the missile buttons in a ready position? Maybe because the veil is finally being lifted off the blinded people about how inept our president really is? Maybe because we see that we are quickly losing "superpower" status in the world, and recognize that the world sees us as a laughing stock over this Syria Red Line debacle? I guess when you're on the verge of World War III, everything seems more important??
I'm seeing tons more on 9-11 on Facebook and Instagram. As a matter of fact, I follow several NYC photographers, and one posted a really cool pic (actually all of them did) but I saw there were a ton of comments, so clicked on and saw that some punk kid who looks 12, who has a Muslim name, had commented that we "deserved" the 9-11 attack, and everyone was going off on him (including me, in a nice way.)
I'm noticing way more flags today than in years past, and people wearing T-shirts that are patriotic or mention 9-11. I just have this sense that finally, we have "turned the corner" on this administration and their lies and deception and inexperience and agenda.
Oh please God, please....

We Will Not Forget...
What a strange, strange time.... If ever I felt like the entire WORLD is standing at a fork in the road, it's NOW. It's such a helpless feeling really. All of the U.S.'s warships are just sitting there. Waiting. Meanwhile our president is.... playing golf. And flip-flopping. And drawing the line a year ago, and now denying that he drew the line, even though there is video to show what he said. And he said he was going to strike Syria, and then later says, no, he will now ask for a vote from Congress. Yet he lets them stay on vacation until today, and plays more golf.
DOES ANYBODY UNDERSTAND THIS?!? We are supposedly on the precipice of freakin' WORLD WAR III and Congress continues to vacay while our president continues to golf... They don't seem to be taking this seriously... at all. But all of the other countries are. They all have lost total confidence in the U.S. and our leaders. Here we are, the leaders of the FREE WORLD, and we as a country are acting like kids skipping school. Flippant. Defiant. Heads stuck in the sand.
This is SO frustrating.... Conservatives 'get it.' We are all screaming at the top of our lungs about Syria, defunding Obamacare, blah, blah, blah, but it feels like we are on a freight train that's on the highway to hell as we go off the tracks - sort of like that bullet train did a few weeks ago in Europe. And our "conductor" is of the same mentality - an idiot who wants to see how fast he can go with no regard for the human lives he is responsible for.
We are two days away from 9-11. My gut feeling says it will be a day to remember, and not in the good way. Benghazi happened last year on that date, and jihadists everywhere now love that day to wreak havoc on infidels. I want to take the day off and just pray and think and "jump off the merry-go-round of life" for a day, and reflect. Life is going too fast lately. Everyone seems too busy, and no one has any time to help others or be kind or listen. There's just not enough time.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope the day goes by without incident. But I also know my gut is rarely wrong.
Very rarely...

Hurry up and wait
My coworker's sister is an electrician on a USA fuel ship in the Indian Ocean. She told my coworker that they went through the Suez Canal a few days ago, and are just sitting there. Waiting...
These people volunteer for these jobs. I read on Twitter, that with decisions like those that are currently being made, like us getting into a conflict of Syrians vs. Syrians, then the U.S. might have to start a draft for the military, since we aren't of the faith that signs up for suicide missions.
God help us...

Yes We Can??.... NO WE CAN'T!!!
So we are supposed to attack Syria to save face and not look weak??
Because Obama drew a red line??
We will be starting a war when we don't even know if Assad was the one who ordered the chemical weapons?
We will start a war, even when Russia guarantees "dire consequences??"
We will attack Syria, even when Iran promises to "rain missiles on Israel??"
We will spend a gazillion dollars on this attack when we are broke, so we will be borrowing this money from China, all for Obama's ego??
We will endanger our warships, which are basically sitting ducks, knowing that Russia has Sunburn missiles that could wipe all of them out with HUGE casualties on our side??
We will start a war when, in actuality, Assad might well have been set up by the rebels to force his regime change??
So who actually trusts President Obama?? He's been lying since he became President 5 years ago.
Why would he suddenly start telling the truth now?? Everything has been selfish and political with him.
After Benghazi, who respects this guy?? The one who plays cards while Bin Laden is being hunted by the Navy Seals??
Why ON EARTH would we trust him now, with this??
Why would we risk a possible World War over these circumstances??
Why?? Why??? WHY????
