So we hear yesterday that Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise and the media is "shocked." Wow. Really?? You haven't noticed her 'dead in the eyes' expression for 4 1/12 years of their 5 year marriage?? You haven't seen her looking like dog crap for years? You've never read that he's a svengali?? You've never learned that he's 'married' to Scientology and that's what dominates his life?
I've never understood why Hollywood is on the Tom Cruise train... I'm one of the few that read his autobiography by the same guy that wrote Princess Diana's. And after reading that, I realized just how messed up he really is. Even when he 'found' unsuspecting Katie, he was wife shopping, calling in young actresses under the ruse of an acting part, when he discovered how naive she really was. He whisked her off in his private jet, took her to the Eiffel Tower, and the rest is history. He then had Scientologists do their thing - which is brainwash and keep other Scientologists with her at all times, until recently when she was finally spotted without them and probably had planned to make her break. It was probably something she's been planning for years and had to wait until he's far away, somewhere remote like Iceland, which he is.
All you have to do is study Tom and Nicole Kidman's divorce to understand. Clearly the Scientologist's threatened her to never talk or they would kill her like they do to all their members trying to get out of the "church" (cult.) All you have to do is scratch the surface to read that. And notice Nicole never was able to see her adopted children much either, and they ended up being raised by Tom's Scientologist sister. Nicole was evidently able to continue on if she never spoke poorly (or at all) about Tom, their life, or Scientology.
It's going to be a tough go for Katie over the next year or so. I suspect she'll be threatened by the machine. It's what they do, according to all reports about Scientologists that try to leave.
Anyway.
Tom's 50th birthday is this week on July 4th. Sometimes people just cannot go on living the charade any longer. She waited to break her big news at the news dump time, Friday before a holiday weekend.
Just hope Katie knows there are a lot of us pulling for her...

"Give me liberty or give me death..."
Epic day... huge decision... it's like the earth shifted... in the wrong way...
The Supreme Court upheld the abominable Obamacare, saying that government CAN mandate (insist) that we buy health insurance because it's a "tax"??
Hello Death Panels. Hello government getting in our personal medical business. Hello killing off the elderly. Hello long lines trying to get well. Hello doctors getting out of their profession and healthcare going to hell in a handbasket.
Wow. So typical. Lawyers. Nine freaking lawyers having the final say of what happens to hundreds of millions of people in this country.
In one fell swoop, this country just changed from a Republic to a socialist country.
Remember this day. Red letter day.
USA to USSA...

"Tolerance that will lead to our cultural suicide." - Allen West
Wow... truer words were never spoken about the future of the United States if we continue on our current path. Allen West tells Fox and Friends that stealth jihad is being waged on America and if we continue our political correctness, then we have no one to blame but ourselves for our collapsing society. The world is different than it was 40 - 50 years ago. Americans used to be able to travel to the Middle East without fear that we would be threatened for our beliefs. What has changed? In a word - them. Muslims didn't want to be proselytized but they did'nt follow the new jihad of 'kill the infidel.' And yes, I know, not all of them kill the infidel, but their silence is deafening on rebuking the ones that do. Maybe it's out of fear of getting hurt themselves, or maybe they are in total agreement, but either way, when they say or do nothing, it speaks volumes.
We have got to stand up now or it will be too late. There is a story today in alternative media that in Michigan, Muslims stoned Christians (and the police did NOTHING.) Where is the outrage? Why aren't people jumping all over this? Have we become so calloused that it means nothing to us? If it doesn't happen in our area, do we just let it go?? They are the ones moving to the United States knowing that we are a Judeo-Christian nation that follow laws based on the Ten Commandments instead of Sharia law based on the Koran. We've got to stop it now. We've got to unite. Can anybody hear me?
Does anybody care??

"Brave New World..."
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2164026/Forget-dolls--study-reveals-modern-girls-prefer-video-games.html
Just read in the attached article that video games have now replaced dolls as the top toy for girls these days. I could have told them that... The last few Christmases, there was really no point in getting my youngest child anything unless it was electronic. When her friends come over, all they do is get on the computer or their smart phones. That's it. Nothing else. It's a new world, get used to it. It's never going back. Well, I guess I say never say never, but unless we lose all power forever, electronics are here to stay.
Sigh.
It's just all too much too fast. I mean for hundreds, or even thousands of years, girls have played with some kind of doll. It helps act out girl things. And although dolls are still the third favorite toy, they've been waning for years. Poor Barbie. She has it all but just cannot compete with video games.
I need to wrap my head around this...

Freaky Friday
If you guessed Jesus is green, you win the prize. It seems at this week's United Nations Earth Summit, even the image of Christ "has been made a forcible convert to the econ-faith, as the city of Rio is bathing the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer in green light." (National Review Online)
Other notables to mention are:
At the recent Rio+20 side summit in Brazil, Jerusalem's deputy mayor for planning and environment lead a discussion about holy sites around the world can be used to indoctrinate pilgrims.
The National Religious Partnership for the Environment has been working for years in the U.S. to make green tenets (article of faith) a staple of religious life in America.
A bizarre eco-version of the Ark of the Covenant is making its way around the globe.
And a "Green Bible" is now available at your local Christian bookstore.
I guess "Green guru" James Lovelock was right.
Last week he warned that "the green religion is now taking over the Christian religion..."

"Americans chose a limited government that exists to protect our rights, not to grant them." - Marco Rubio
I don't know why I can't get motivated to post lately... I guess there is so much politics in an election year that it just gets redundant. But I quickly want to go on record to say that my hope is that Mitt Romney will choose Marco Rubio as his running mate. I personally think that it would be a shot in the arm for Romney on the same level when McCain chose Palin. He's young. He's passionate. He's smart. He's articulate. He's Latin (Cuban descent.) And it doesn't hurt that he's good-looking.
I really don't know who else is on the short list, but I guarantee you that there isn't anyone else out there who comes across as perfect as Rubio. He's too young to be president, but this would certainly get his feet wet for the future. And I agree with him on his stance on illegals. When you live in states like Florida and Texas, and these folks are woven in our lives, you simply CANNOT talk about deporting all of them. How stupid is that?! They have families and jobs and years of history here. As I've said in the past, the most humane thing to do is seal the border, and do nothing else. They're already here. But I also don't want to grant them amnesty and start giving them all social security, because that will collapse the system in a very short amount of time. But I digress. My pick for Vice President is Rubio.

Yes, we are the ground roots. We are Tea Party, which simply means we are conservatives, and believe (and vote) on principle, not party. We know right from wrong and desire the country to return to what our founding fathers established. Our general was/is Andrew Breitbart, and although he's gone now, there are thousands of us who are inspired by his courage, and wish to continue the battle against evil and lies. And liberals? They are so hell-bent on their one issue belief that they are willing to destroy this country to justify their sinful lifestyles. The battle lines have been drawn, it's just that most weren't paying attention. Sarah Palin is still the first lady of our kind. And every time they kill one of our leaders, it only makes us stronger. God is on our side, the right side, the side of truth and doing the right thing. I've read the end of the book.
We win...

Facebook generation
Why do all young girls primp & stick their tongue out in Facebook pictures?? It just seems kids these days are always marketing themselves to make sure they look cool to their peers. Everything is a photo opp. No longer do they get together to talk & have fun; no they just take photos (or) videos) the whole time. It just seems so calculating.
Because it is...

"Til Death us do Part..."
Last week Miley Cyrus (of Disney's Hannah Montana fame) announced that she's engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Aussie Liam Hemsworth. She's getting a lot of negative press saying she's too young, but I actually disagree. Personally I think this might be the best idea for both of them.
Yes, Miley is 19 years old, but she had to grow up fast on Disney with all of her concert traveling, and she's a very old 19. And not going to college has kept her out of "academia," which in my opinion, is a good thing. I have this theory that isn't always right, but certainly is a lot of the time. I think that God brings around our soulmate around Miley's age, and wants us to grow together with that person. Are there exceptions to this? Of course, but fortunate are those that get to marry someone young and spend their lives with their soulmate. My happiest (and still married) friends are those that married their high school sweetheart.
So Miley, cherish this person. Be good to him. Always act like you're dating. You've got a real shot at happiness.
Don't blow it...

"Bad politicians are sent to Washington by good people who don't vote."
Today is the Wisconsin vote that Scott Walker is in. As I write, the outcome is unclear, but I've got a hunch that, even amidst voter fraud, Walker will be the clear winner. Good will win, I just feel it. There is a discontent in this country (and in this world) like I have never seen. And although we feel helpless, we WILL prevail. It's time to stand up people. It's time to say enough is enough. It's time to go to the mats.
It's time...

"If you did it, then it's okay for me..." -- my daughter
Haunting words, don't you agree? My 15 year old says that if I did something, then it would be okay for her to do. Hmmmm.... now I know why I don't tell her much of my past.... Those were different days and I was a different person. Now days they arrest for much less than they used to, but it brings me to my point.
All of these photos are circulating of our current president with a joint, with stories of his pothead days.
Great... Isn't this just a green light for all high schoolers to now say, "Well if the president of the United States smoked weed, why can't I??"
Be careful what you wish for...

"Keep Calm and Carry On..."
My emotions about this queen have run the gamut. Partial to Princess Diana, I could see the queen's disdain for her and despised her for many years. Too, as a female, who could possibly like the dowdy clothes she has worn all of her life? Even in her twenties she dressed like her fifties, with her boring suits, and matching hats and handbags. When Diana died, I saw a tiny shimmer of humanity in the queen, but ever so slightly.
For years, I wondered why she was so stingy with the crown and wouldn't step down so her son could be king, and now her grandson. Clearly she's really old now and England would be happier following Prince William and new wife Catherine. Some say she won't let go of her scepter unless it's pried out of her cold, dead hands, and I read yesterday that she plans on ruling until her death.
After thinking about it, I've decided she is privy to family dirt, and still thinks she's the best man for the job. She knows her son Charles is one of the biggest wimps on the planet, and he disqualified himself with the Camilla affair for years. Then of course there is Prince William, who she knows is going to be great some day, but why subject him to this kind of pressure when he just got married?
As much as I think this queen is staid and boring, she has provided stability for England at a time when everything seems to have the carpet ripped out from beneath.
Long live the Queen...
